In the UK the range of an EV will get you quite a significant distance. Some EVs advertise a range over 400 miles. Even half that is more than most brits travel in a day. I agree that the charging is a problem, especially if you rent or live in a house with no driveway
Well they don't make the games so they couldn't really do that nor would game developers be very appreciative of that. But I see your point. There's nothing stopping you buying all your games on steam then making a copy of them elsewhere to play with a steam emulator if it goes tits up
I personally don't really want the different social networks to interact. They're different formats and serve different purposes, I go to each to view different things. Whenever a post from mastadon shows up on lemmy the formatting is confusing and annoying.
Windows doesn't autorun by default these days iirc, I don't think there's any zero interaction remote code execution bugs that are unpatched either. The only way you would get compromised is by running something or if the usb device pretended to be a keyboard which I don't think is commercially available in sd card format
So what exactly are they alleged to have tracked from incognito users? The article mentions search history, which of course they're going to continue to track because Google the search engine is not the same as Google Chrome the browser and the search engine has no business knowing or caring if you're in incognito mode or not
I had one for my iPhone 4, it was cool but not hugely practical
