  • You can't read just pieces of it.

If you modify the Program, your modified version must prominently offer all users interacting with it remotely through a computer network (if your version supports such interaction) an opportunity to receive the Corresponding Source of your version by providing access to the Corresponding Source from a network server at no charge, through some standard or customary means of facilitating copying of software

A service can't be FOSS for definition since it's missing the last "S" Software! ...at least for my knowledge! 🤷🏻‍♂️

  • This?

    1. Remote Network Interaction; Use with the GNU General Public License.

Notwithstanding any other provision of this License, if you modify the Program, your modified version must prominently offer all users interacting with it remotely through a computer network (if your version supports such interaction) an opportunity to receive the Corresponding Source of your version by providing access to the Corresponding Source from a network server at no charge, through some standard or customary means of facilitating copying of software. This Corresponding Source shall include the Corresponding Source for any work covered by version 3 of the GNU General Public License that is incorporated pursuant to the following paragraph.

Notwithstanding any other provision of this License, you have permission to link or combine any covered work with a work licensed under version 3 of the GNU General Public License into a single combined work, and to convey the resulting work. The terms of this License will continue to apply to the part which is the covered work, but the work with which it is combined will remain governed by version 3 of the GNU General Public License.

  • That happens for open source as well as for anything else. Why there are not thousand of "Gmail" like services? Or Dropbox, Slack, Trello and so on? Because there's who's good in selling his product and raising funds and...who's not!

  • Isn't it just enough to use Google with Firefox in a Google container (and uBlockOrigin and Canvas locker)? In this way no search can be tied up to me.

P.s. I also have the plugin Google search link fix, but I'm not sure it's needed with the Google container

  • No no, don't get me wrong, nothing wrong with Z-Wave, I just prefer ZigBee because I've found more expensive devices or no alternatives on Z-Wave: buttons, temperature/motion/door sensors, bulbs. What Z-Wave devices do you have?

  • Piospartslab on Ebay. Before buying, try to make an offer, offen they approve them and you can get very good bargains! For a Pi upgrade those Fujitsu Futro (S720/S920) are very good, I've started using them in the lasts months and I love them.
