  • Pavlov's dogs and Schrodinger's cat?

There's something there, I think, but it doesn't land as is.

I sat on it for a while and came up with this:

Pavlov and Schrodinger were flying together to a Thinker's Convention. Their plane lost power and, in effort to make a safe landing, the pilot dumped their cargo.

For citizens below, it was raining cats and dogs.

  • How is them editing the title anything besides confirmation that it was a simple typo? I really don't understand why you're so bent out of shape. Most people here came from Reddit and the organization is very similar, accidentally putting r/ instead of c/ is something that happens all the time. The whole "Reddit bad!! 😠" attitude is just immature and probably hypocritical.

  • which now makes it seem as though I had no idea what I was talking about

No, I know what you're talking about.

OP put r/, I called them out on it

I'm saying that making a simple typo is not really something you need to "call someone out on". Nobody ever denied them using r/, so the "let's be honest" seemed extra silly.

  • This is so hard to imagine in a modern world with instant communication and the ability to travel huge distances relatively easily.

Can you even try to imagine your SO disappearing one day, always just thinking "wonder where they are of if they're alive", the 11 years later they're at your door like "sorry I'm late, what's for supper?"

Do you know if he was able to get any correspondence out during his trek back? Maybe he was able to get a letter sent out in one of the cities he passed through?

  • This isn't their original account.

If that's the case then that's fair enough. I quickly scrolled through their account and saw mostly positive posts in appropriate communities, so it seemed like you were going all in on the guy for making this one unfavorable post.

  • This is something I haven't really thought about. I work in healthcare and I can genuinely tell you I'd have no idea how to handle this, if your meds got sent to my pharmacy there would likely be a huge delay and I guarantee you it would not be anything intentional on our side 😭 of course an insurance company will have dealt with this many more times than a chain pharmacy and should have practices in place for such situations, but I don't think there's anything in my system I could do to say someone is both male and female.

  • Why are you being so angry and hostile towards this guy lol. You didn't like his post. Downvote it and move on. Why are you scouring his post history and trying to call attention to the 2 or 3 other posts they have with a whopping -1?

Did that feel nice? For just a second? The thought that somebody might actually care about you or what you have to say?

"I didn't like this joke, so I'm gonna try to come up with something hurtful and mean to say to them, even though they did nothing to me" do you talk to people like this in real life or only on the Internet?

  • They're talking about something different. They're talking about the people they will print a single layer across their entire build plate to see if it's level. Basically just an extreme bed level test.

  • No, I don't. Because the unequalness does NOT support what you're saying, at least not to anyone else. It comes across as a huge red flag that you're making up a false equivalency to back up the ideal you're trying to get people to argue with you on. Nobody's gonna debate you on a topic that you can't even seem to frame fairly.

  • They aren't challenging the metaphor at all with their statement. They're showing you that the entire premise is garbage, because within your metaphor, "Abolish the fire in my house" ≠ "Put out that one fire in my house".

The metaphor is... Ok, I guess, if not a gross oversimplification, but your post and energy in the comments just scream "debate me bro" when it doesn't seem like you've got the maturity for even a normal conversation. Like you maybe just found your first Ben Shapiro video or something.

  • ohh ...

  • What information has come out that makes you say the last paragraph? I'm not doubting it's validity in the slightest (I don't think this guy is exactly an infallible source of wisdom), just haven't seen a lot directly from him that would flesh his views out that much.
