  • NYT is carrying enough water for Trump they may as well be an aqua duct. Mean the polls may be accurate but it's hard to believe much of what they put out between Biden and Trump. I'm sure I could read the methods but I rarely get to read NYT due to paywall.

  • As an person who takes medication for ADD, wonder if it's cause he's not taking them these days (least as much as he used to) he's pretty much confirmed taking them and before I knew I had it I'd knod off in meetings, much as I tried not to. Mostly get to two the head knod stage and jerk more awake.

Also I'd knod off on car rides even while on work trips, they were longer and boring, like a couple hours. For those that may think they have it as well but may need further proof of signs, those were some signs to it previously that I didn't know. Before reading up on it I had no idea getting sleepy in certain situations was a flag for it.

Of course if I've misread these signs in articles incorrectly please correct me in comments, I don't want to give false information, I just sort of take my meds and deal with it these days.

  • That was one of my thoughts, the amount of social data he could get from Starfleet Academy would be huge. Its not like he needed to study the material. I guess there's an argument that Data was only as social as he was because of the academy. Or maybe the computation needed to make the officer decisions are much more intensive than we think, contrary to what Lower Decks shows heh, kidding I love that show.

  • I thought with Trump his Dad schooled him to behave the way he did, always pitting the sons against each other, never accept a loss etc. It'd be easier to pity him under that view if he wasn't trying to wreck the world.

Oh and him not realizing this even being an old man at this point. At some point people need to learn some self reflection but when you have access to as much money as Trump (not as much as he claims) there's not much reason to.

  • I thought the pulling the wearer into the other realm was part of the lore, that's why it wouldn't work the same on elves or a wizard, they are already part of that realm. So I'm agreeing I just thought I saw on tolkienfans it was the intended reading of the situation but I can't remember if it was just theory from letters or something he wrote about.

Also why Frodo saw such a bright light when rescued at the Ford, he saw the elf, Glorifindal? As he was in the other realm. Also showed why that elf couldn't go on the quest with them, he'd be like a beacon.

  • Apparently many European representatives (if the headlines are correct) and from the actions in the US the entire GOP party. But go ahead and shill for Russia. I also never said Israel is good, I was just saying Russia was seeing shit happen and stirred the fuck out of it.

  • That conflict is very messy and I don't agree with Israel's overall actions, but as bad as Russia is a pretty high bar. Russia stirs up shit where it'll weaken anyone in the West. Israel definitely isn't the good guy in their conflict (don't think anyone but civilians are good there but that's another thing) but as bad as Russia? I don't think that. Though I'm regularly wrong so just my opinion.

  • In Canada ours have a sticker that says the amounts are calibrated to a certain temperature (15C I think), so I assumed it took that into account. I try not to think about how much it costs so didn't over analyze it.

  • Yet I imagine the Kelowna area will still vote for a Conservative to be our representative next election, so many people with money and other conservative types in the area. I was constantly checking updates as one of the fires were within like 1-2 km, it was very stressful and I wasn't ever in an evacuation zone. Had everything ready just in case we had to go right away. Granted there was many buildings between me and the fire but it hit pretty fast, so I may have been overreacting but I'd rather be prepared than caught off guard. Will definitely vote for people that want to curb our environmental impact myself but feels like pissing in the wind when looking at vote counts after the election.

  • Also they were on similar level, Gandalf and the balrog, it's a boss enemy he'd be on fairly equal footing if he was allowed to be his full divine abilities. The rest may have been able to take it on if they were willing to die, since I believe that's the only way that balrogs were killed in the past by great elf warriors.

  • Soon it'll be, ' give birth in our facilities then you can work when you're finished with labour, don't worry we can provide education and daycare as long as you sign an indentured servitude for you and the new employee'.

  • The gameplay is good but from what I played, outside of combat, it was a bit lackluster, and rations were a pain when I played. Though it's hard not to compare it to BG3 in that regard. I did like Larian's system to interact with the environment and liquids too that made some battles more dynamic. Maybe there's more of that is Solasta than I saw too, I didn't get far, should give it another go, it has solid combat which is at least half of a good DnD game.

  • You know this isn't comparable to an aRPG I hope. It's more comparable to DnD on a computer, so a cRPG. They really have minimal in common besides leveling up and finding gear, though aRPGs make you grind for gear, a cRPG will let you find it through various means. It's a story game more than killing things game, some of the best outcomes happen when you don't kill. I don't play on PlayStation so can't comment on the bugs but haven't found many in my many hours on PC even through beta.

  • She made multiple trips to a Bitcoin machine, Bitcoin alone should be obvious to most people. Mean it sucks for them and I feel for their situation but what government employee is going to tell them to go to a Bitcoin machine?

At the very least set up a new account at a different bank with extra safeguards until it's sorted out.

  • As an outsider, though neighbor in Canada, I can't truely comprehend why Trump has the support he does. I sort of get it when looking at specifics (some people enjoy racism, others think he'd stir things up and create change) but the Evangelical support alone is baffling. I'm not religious but went to schools with religion as a subject (didn't always focus on Christianity in the Anglican one but other one did) and the idea that anyone remotely Christian, or anyone that thinks they have religious values could vote for him makes me want to do the exorcist head spin and spew green pea soup. I didn't think of that idea in a religious way just an absurd reaction to the situation but it sort of fits.

I'd definitely vote for the inanimate carbon rod over Trump, but the sandwich has merit too.
