No, it's not a Mali instance. They're using it for something else. You may also notice .io domains are not always based in the Indian Ocean, nor .ly for Libya, .tv for Tumalu, etc.
The ML stands for Marxist-Leninist. I recall it being clarified better when I last visited several years ago. "What is Lemmy.ml?" is a link that expands on the instance as "niche" rather than mainstream.
I'm personally not on lemmy.ml but they literally advertise what their ideology is. If I go to a meeting of socialists in my community, I am expected to be in agreement with, or at least tolerant of, socialist viewpoints. If you're entering lemmy.ml you're expected to tolerate ML viewpoints, obviously.
I feel like the people not voting made it 100% clear what they were looking for. If they're the deciding factor in who wins the election, maybe it was a massive fuck up to ignore them?
If it's too small a group to matter, then stop focusing on them as the reason Dems lost. If they're a major factor in the election, Dems should treat then that way.
Sponsored links. They do attempt to maximize privacy and the money generated goes to support environment restoration, but if you draw the line at any money being made that probably doesn't help you.
Two main points: Workers individually are powerless, that's the point of unions. I work in the media industry and if I quit a job with no notice it'll take me minimum 6 months to find a new one. That's 6 months of grabbing an income wherever I can, and if we rule out shareholder owned entities that's easily 6 months without an income entirely.
There's no such thing as long term capitalistic goals. That's the entire point of things like the stock market. The goals of a capitalist enterprise is to make as much money as quickly as possible.
As I said earlier, it was advertised. I didn't make it up, it just isn't written there anymore.
