  • Not one word in there about turning to the right, campaigning with Cheneys, ignoring all progressive policies, and generally behaving like R-lite in a bid to court R-votes that never came, with no message other than "look how much worse Trump is". I'm a little disappointed in Rolling Stone, but not at all surprised that the people they interviewed left those things out.

Ultimately, if this is their analysis, they'll make the 2016 mistakes for a third time in 2028.

  • Marshall, a former OBGYN and leader of the Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) Caucus, emphasizes nutrition and preventative care but ignores systemic issues like poverty and racism.

A conservative who ignores the impact of unaddressed and systemic poverty and racism in his policies? I'm shocked, SHOCKED, I tell you.

  • You are right, but you do see it in a lot of these political threads - every(or most) expressly anti-R or anti-Trump comment with just one (sometimes two) downvotes, but no one actually dissenting. It's weirdly consistent and predictable.

Like there's one guy just laughing to himself that he's owning the libs every time he clicks that downvote button.

  • Voters feel abandoned by both parties but resonate with Trump’s anti-establishment rhetoric and perceived authenticity.

If their impression of Trump includes a perception of authenticity, these people are well and truly lost. I have nothing to say to them, and want nothing to do with them.

  • Fucking Republicans. They are literally the party of taking things away and making things worse. I cannot fathom how they have duped tens of millions into believing they are the party trying to help people.

And yes, Dems have their issues too, but R is just rabidly "fuck you I got mine, and double so if you aren't a white cishet man" at all levels.

  • DOJ: Police Shooting Family Dogs has Become ‘Epidemic’

Cops in this country kill so many dogs each year that a specialist at the Department of Justice’s (“DOJ”) community-oriented program services office says it has become an “epidemic.” The DOJ estimates that around 25 to 30 dogs are killed by cops every day, with some numbers as high as 10,000 per year. The totals could, in fact, be higher, since most police agencies do not formally track officer-involved shootings involving animals.
