I didn't know about PIA and never "recommended." I just listed a few other services that I knew had port forwarding. I removed it from the comment.

would NOT recommend protonvpn since it's the same company running protonmail, which has a history of bad security and has given private mails to governments. plus their free plan is pretty bad and doesn't have port forwarding. but it's an unpopular opinion ig.

anyways, i've been using airvpn and it's been fairly good. some other ones include:

• windscribe
• torguard
• cryptostorm

It's 100% possible, plex and jellyfin are available on swizzin. Most aren't good enough to do transcoding, though, so keep that in mind if you don't have a good internet.

No problem :) Trust me, if you look around more on the wiki, you WILL find something that you'd like.

Libreddit "going down" is a bit wrong since there's still people working on it, but RIP. Fuck spez and fuck reddit.

Also instances don't synchrone all content between all instances. They do it on demand...

AFAIK Kbin -> Lemmy only synchronizes new content. While they're both on the fediverse, they don't have direct support, so it's a bit finnicky.
