  • This may be an unpopular opinion, but I work as an IT guy for a small business (6 people total) and I honestly prefer working in the office:

    • it's easier to focus, I'm much more effective than when doing work at home, despite 95% of my work being possible to be done remotely
    • I like most of the 5 people I work with
    • I prefer separating life and work: I go to the office, do the work, go home and don't think about it until the next time I'm over there. I wouldn't like to associate my apartment with the mundane tasks I sometimes have to do for work

Also the commute isn't bad because I live in a well-connected district in a European capital. It's a 12 minute door-to-door bus ride for me, I don't even bother driving.

  • Can confirm

  • Evolution is an Ubuntu (gnome in particular) app, not a win 11 one

  • Death penalty does not deter crime though, each and every piece of research confirms that

  • This will get me loads of downvotes, but Windows 10 Mail and Calendar (not Outlook) is simple yet works flawlessly and is miles ahead of Thunderbird by usability, stability and user-friendliness. On the other hand though, Ubuntu Evolution is even better and is open-source.

  • did you really create an account only to defend religion as a concept? and not see the irony of the situation

  • What? I think you're referring to wet wipes

  • also sflix

  • Cloudstream.

  • It's down to 35 zł btw

  • agreed, that's why I have hard time switching to it but I still try

  • According to this GitHub discussion PrivacyBadger is pretty much redundant if you use uBlock Origin, can even hinder performance and cause opposite effect than expected.

  • It is a thing on iPhones. I didn't have to pay extra, but activating it on my mom's iPhone required contacting the carrier. Such bullshit. Also, wasn't an iPhone bought on a contract, it's not even a thing where I live, you buy phones in normal electronics stores

  • Thank you LJ, I purchased instantly. I really appreciate your work and understand this app is your livelihood but the original asking price was a number I wouldn't be comfortable spending, even deep inside knowing I would be getting my money's worth. Perhaps in installments would be fine, but yeah

  • Mine is araik the only that's specific to my country (except a kbin one) and I decided to stay over here and support it (by both creating traffic and financially) despite it being orders of magnitude smaller than the mainstream ones.
