  • I feel like what we have on our side more than logic is reality. Science and facts will always support socialism.

Logic is just something that happens in our brains, and it really helps figure a lot of things out. But it doesn’t represent reality in any direct way. Logic is not part of the laws of nature.

Science shows this very clearly. A lot of factual science makes absolutely no logic sense. Quantum mechanics as a whole is the easiest example of this.

But even simple things, like “races”. Logically it’s something that made sense at the time it came into being. But now we know through scientific facts (genetics etc.) that all humans are the same race, and all apparent races are absolutely superficial differences.

And that’s the issue with logic. Logic conforms to ideology, not to reality. We must break with certain accepted “logics” to find the truth sometimes.

Which honestly makes libs like this even scarier. They are PURE ideology. No thought, just an eternal ghost haunting them into being rabid fucks.

  • The Zapatistas in Chiapas. The Hill peoples in eastern India. Rojava in Kurdistan. The vast majority of native peoples in Asia and the Americas before colonisation. The pirate societies, and related to that the Zana-Malata of Madagascar.

I suggest you to also read some of the articles and books by David Graeber. Like any. Egalitarian societies were his specialisation.

  • That is really unscientific. There is a lot of research on LLMs showing they have emergent intelligent features. They have internal models of the world etc.

And there is nothing to indicate that what we do is not “transforming” in some way. Our minds might be indistinguishable from what we are building towards with AI currently.

And that will likely make more of us start realising that the brain and the mind are not consciousness. We’ll build intelligences, with minds, but without consciousnesses.

  • Hostages don’t work..? Why would they be paid? They are just held for ransom. Are you dumb?

THE WHOLE OF ISRAEL IS A SETTLER COLONY BUILT ON TOP OF PALESTINE.

The Nakba destroyed the villages and cities of, and displaced over 70% of Palestinians to fund the state of Israel. The land Israel is built on is literally stolen from NATIVE Palestinians.

That is the definition of settler colonialism. A bunch of Europeans went to a land, murdered and forcibly expelled the natives to build an ethnostate.

Gaza is a concentration camp. The West Bank is a bantustan.

    HOW CAN YOU DEFENT ISRAEL?????

  • The truth is infuriating if all you live by is ideology spoon-fed to you by the mainstream media. And it’s not even their fault. The system really is set up for the vast majority of people to fall into this brain melting rot.

But there is hope. I do believe this event is radicalizing people and making them question things a lot more than most others before…

  • The more and more I read and study about it, it does seem the main root of this issue really was anti-semitism. But maybe not in the way most people would think.

When the Zionist movement first started, it had a lot of opponents within the Jewish communities of Europe. Many thought it was “giving up against anti-semitism”. To in essence, accept that Jews and non-Jews really couldn’t live together.

One of the earlier and main proponents of Zionism, Herzl, said that Zionism and anti-semitism had the same goals. To separate the Jews from the non-Jews. He believed Jews were incapable of assimilating, and would always bring hatred to themselves. The dude was pretty much an anti-semite himself… (see evidence).

He is now a hero and considered one of the spiritual founders of Israel…

I really don’t think we’ll ever see peace in the region as long as the Zionist ideology has a stronghold there. It’s a racist, supremacists, chauvinist ideology.

The only way to peace is for a state to exist in the region for all peoples, religions and cultures to live together in peace and equality.

I know it might not seem like it from the mainstream media, but that really is what the vast majority of Palestinians want too.

You can ask anyone who lived there, and worked or lived among them. They are FAR more progressive and peaceful than they should be. Any other people would’ve been turned into much harsher and more bigoted angry people. But they are just sad. And it’s so fucking sad. To think that we will be witness to an entire people maybe stopping to exist. Just for the crime of existing.

  • No ethnostate can exist with peace. Jewish people are safer in the US than in Israel. And that was also true after WW2.

Creating a COLONIAL settler apartheid state where a bunch of people already lived? That is fucking dumb.

  • Eliminating Israel = calling for a genocide.

Israel is an apartheid fascist state. It should be dismantled. And a new secular state with equal rights for all should be made in its place.

That is the position of most Palestinians. Some even wish for a two state solution, for some reason.

But saying Israel shouldn’t exist is not genocidal, anti-semitic or anything. It’s just fucking human.

  • That is indeed tricky.

But I don’t think WE can find the solution. Only the people who suffered the injustice of colonialism can say what is “enough justice”. Only they know what would help mend the wounds.

(Of course there are some extremist violent minorities in the resistance, but most Palestinians would agree they just want a land and freedom).

  • Can you clarify what they said then?

I can say confidently that I’ve seen plenty of Israeli leaders saying they clearly want to either kill or expel all Arabs and non-Jews from Israel.

I’ve never seen the same from Hamas leadership (and even less from other Palestinian groups - like Fatah and PFLP) that what they want is to either kill or expel all Jews from Palestine…

  • Naaaah my friend. You are actually getting things backwards.

Ottoman Palestine and British Palestine both had Arab Muslims and Arab Jews living there. And they lived in peace. In fact, Jews and Muslims lived in peace for most of their histories in Iraq, Syria, Palestine etc.

The British, with their divide and conquer tactics, in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, started to put Jews, Muslims, Christians, Hindus, Sikh, all an any religious or ethnic groups against each other.

There was no conflicts between Muslims and Jews in Palestine before the British allowed the European Zionists to colonise it, armed and trained their right-wing militias and allowed them to form a government (the only dual colonial government in British history). The Zionist militias attacked and terrorised Palestinians (Muslims, Christians and even Arab Jews) under British oversight for decades before WW2.

There was mass migration of Jews from Europe to British Palestine (and other places) right before, during and after WW2 (understandably of course). This increased tensions, as Palestinians already felt they were being slowly colonised.

But only when the British officially left Palestine, and the Zionists declared the State of Israel that true violence began. There was a literal genocide of the Palestinians by the Zionists.

70% of all Palestinian villages and cities were destroyed. More than half of the people were expelled from the land, with a good portion also being killed, which is ethnic cleansing.

This is the start of the conflict.

Before it was the prelude. And now we live the epilogue.

Israel always intended on genociding the Palestinians, since the state was first created. It was in fact, built on top of genocide.

  • If you go back a bit further, you realize this started with a genocide of Palestinians in 48 by Israeli forces, in the Nakba. And if you go further a bit even, you see that it started with terror campaigns by far-right Zionist militias in British Palestine.

  • All of that is the fruit of people living for generations under oppressive hierarchical power structures.

Just like we can’t say humans “naturally are greedy” we also can’t say they “naturally will give themselves over a ‘populist leader’”.

In less hierarchical societies, people naturally are more skeptic of authority and populism.

Like when the North American native peoples of the North East first encountered Europeans, and couldn’t possibly understand how the sailors had “bosses” who “told them what to do”. The idea of following a leader like that didn’t make much sense to them at all.
