Do you think it's healthy to tell (and pressure) women to not be relationships until laws are changed?

If I were interested in weakening a nation, counseling the youth to walk away from relationships and turning the genders against each other would be a pretty decent tactic.

Why wouldn't they try? They've done everything they could so far and face no repercussions, why not go ahead and try to be king? A few people will fret and tut-tut but if nobody is going to do anything it doesn't amount to much.

The rest of your statement lays out a really good reason why a lot of people would cheer though. The U.S. has absolutely brutalized South America with its constant meddling (almost always at the behest of private industry) and is responsible for most the pain there. I can't really say I'd blame them.

You see and hear it all the time, the "news" repeats the lie and says something like "and while there's some truth to that, what's more impactful......."

Trump was right about one thing, the media are not our friend. They've profited from him at every step, propped him up, coddled him, both sides of the media are complicit. When the pogroms start, I hope the talking head media elite are on the lists.

The rightwing fight has been going on since shortly after FDRs New Deal, over 70 years. The wealthy hated it and immediately set about funding right wing think tanks to undo it's progress. They've been exceptionally successful and those thinktanks are now pipelines used to funnel judges and policy wonks into positions where they have power.

This is so much bigger than Russia or Gender and the fact that you think those are the actual fights really highlights why "the left" can't ever get it's shit together while the right votes in lockstep yet again. You can't see the forest for the tree.
