And authorized repair shop is not the same as Apple itself. And without knowing the repair shop itself we do not know if it was actually an Apple certified repair shop. There was one in my town that the guy just printed up a sign that said he was.

After I tried to set up her new home internet and she had a melt down because I asked her if she had done any of the items I asked her to do (try connecting her smart tv to the network using the information I gave her) I no longer offer tech support to her, in fact we have barely spoken since then. It has been wonderful.

I tried to install Linux on my mom's laptop for her, it was too scary. So she is still using windows 7 and probably getting scammed left and right.

But Apple did not give her that quote…

New Mexico

Cars in New Mexico appear to have brake failures at every stop sign, they slow down but do not stop.

NM here and it depends on the restaurant, many only have iced tea. But when you ask for tea you will be asked if you wanted sweet or unsweetened. If you say sweet, they bring you packets of sugar and a glass of unsweetened tea.

Fast food places will have both dispensers but mostly the sweet is unsweetened.

This put me on Reed Alert.

Android has a lot of subscriptions as well. Switching from one fanboi ecosystem to another will not remove them totally.
