  • I was disappointed that obsidian did not have the ability to add check boxes to notes. I use google keep a lot to make checklists for myself. It also looks like it lacks collaboration.

I realize both of these points are outside the the point of the OP, but two things I noticed in using it. And would love to be proven incorrect on both.

  • My first smart phone was a used iPhone 3, loved it at first but after a bit i switched to an Android. I have been an Android user since then... Until this February when i dumped my dying moto Z4 for an iPhone 14 Pro. I was so sick of being behind on os updates and security patches.

I did custom ROMs for years so i would have all of that stuff, but sometimes an update would break everything so i had to hope my backup worked, or that i remembered to make a back up at all. All of my uSD cards were full of backups and different ROM downloads, i decided when i got the Z4 i was staying stock, i never even rooted or unlocked the bootloader. I kept having to wipe the phone and reinstall everything or it would run like shit.

  • I got the sega Genesis mini 2 and was highly disappointed in it. There are like 3 games i play other than the Sonic titles. Many of them i never heard of before owning this. And there are not that many titles in general. I really wanted Mortal Kombat and Altered Beast, both missing.

  • Maybe they were a star trek fan.

  • Typo that refuses to be fixed. It should say has.

  • A lot of times those are going to be cheaper, if you like the thick spined books those are the way i would go. I personally like single issues because they are easier to open without damaging the book. But if i came across one that was a full collection i would jump on it instead of trying to track down all of the issues.

  • I sustained a workplace injury (working on a movie set) and the production company never filed the paperwork, so their insurance would not cover me. I refused to pay the bill and it showed up on my credit report and caused issues for three years. Eventually i found my wrap gift from movie and inside the set medic had put a copy of the paperwork. I scanned it and emailed it to the hospital and within 72 hours it was taken care of and like a month later it was off my credit report. (Time frames may be off as this transpired in 2015)

  • I used to own a comic shop and i always tell people start with what is currentish. Mostly comics will be 6 issue (give or take) story arcs. If you find yourself in the middle of an arc go back an issue until you find the start of it*. After you have been reading some go find some TPB/graphic novels of older stuff.

*Comic books are great about adding an asterisk with a footnote about where to find info about something they mention in the issue that you may have missed so you can go find that issue and see what they are referencing.

  • They just blocked part of dbozer (sp) because of their piracy communities.

  • Cheech and Chong posted a TikTok of all of Paul's lines from The Next Movie today. It really hit me hard.

  • You may want to install the app store version of you are not willing to help test the TestFlight version, which sounds like the case.

  • It started much earlier than that and has roots in racism. https://time.com/5404475/history-tipping-american-restaurants-civil-war/

After the Constitution was amended in the wake of the Civil War, slavery was ended as an institution but those who were freed from bondage were still limited in their choices. Many who did not end up sharecropping worked in menial positions, such as servants, waiters, barbers and railroad porters. These were pretty much the only occupations available to them. For restaurant workers and railroad porters, there was a catch: many employers would not actually pay these workers, under the condition that guests would offer a small tip instead.
