  • I think I misunderstood what you meant by user tag. I interpreted it as a method for me to assign tags to people that only I would be able to see.

For example, if I were to tag you as "A hoopy frood", I would see that next time we happened to interact out of the blue, so I'd get a rough outline of who you are to me. Not sure how such a mechanism would be implemented.

  • I don't. Mostly because I haven't heard about it until now, because a use case for me would be exactly what you use it for. As far as I can see, Voyager doesn't provide an interface for it.

  • Transparency.
This company I used to work with had a monthly townhall where everyone could learn how things were going (good or bad), long term and short term plans, and so forth.

And during a downturn in 2020, things went badly, and there was open and honest information about it all. To paraphrase: "We cannot say now that there won't be layoffs. But we will do everything we can to avoid it through other cost saving measures. This includes cutting executive pay by 20% as of immediately." While there ended up being layoffs (which included severance packages), the pay cuts never hit any of us working "on the floor" - top brass only.

Overall, it was a company I enjoyed working for. Sadly they were acquired by a competitor last year, and that business culture came to an end. I left for greener pastures a few months ago.

  • Seconded. I've loosened many shredded screws this way.
Also, one can use a hack saw or similar to cut a slit into the screw head, that way you're more or less guaranteed to fit a flathead driver properly.

  • Dire Straits - Money for Nothing. It was on a cassette in my parents car. Not what I normally listen to, but it's an alright song, and after having had to endure whatever my parents decided to listen to, that was what I decided to turn up on my first drive alone.

I think the first thing I brought into the car with the intent to listen to it while driving was Dream Theater - Awake, freshly recorded from CD onto tape
