HELLBREAK - Official Demo Announcement Trailer

  • I haven't watched a streamer yet that could pull it off except NL. People get into this young with no education or lived life outside of streaming and honestly it's a pain listening to them try to be relatable to talk about something for hours. Even NL starts getting tiring after the 5000th take on peloton.

  • The world is very interesting the main characters the escort quest is not. All the villains are basically a throwaway that last 2 episodes if they are lucky. Also the girl/boy with special stuff that needs to be taken to dangerous X place is such a tired trope.

  • Or they made good edited youtube videos and then they starting chasing the streaming trend like Critikal and other youtubers I used to watch. Sorry I want to watch a single 10-30 min video once or twice a week and not hours of unscripted rambling. The only person I can watch do that is Nothernlion but even then I don't watch most of his content anyway.

  • Lets not talk about the multiple per year mass school stabbings that happen in China.

  • It's the same thing in video games and books, people chasing money or lack skill go after the most popular genres even if they themselves don't really have any interest in it and produce mediocre products that have 0 passion in them.

I should really watch more stuff from Flanagan, I though midnight mass was alright even if it dragged it's feet in the middle.

  • Euphoria is garbage most people will agree with that. The ones that you should watch is succession and the boys, last of us is pretty mid and having watched severance I don't know why people are so excited about it.

  • It's what happens when you make a company public and all they want is return on their investment yesterday.

  • Reddit didn't retroactively try to steal money from developers. Also a game engine doesn't need a community to exist, it just needs to be good, a community is helpful but not required.

  • Cough p2w skins and items. Gary isn't making his own engine I don't know why he even brings it up, most of the programmers are probably unity devs. Though facepunch is probably the richest indie studio on the planet.

  • Yeah it's like knowing the foundation is structurally unsound and still deciding to build a house on it hoping it won't get worse. It will.

  • Mobile games probably aren't interested in this and everyone else would rather play on consoles or PC i'm guessing.

  • You do realize you are cherry picking right? The power of steam reviews it that it's just users posting what they want and there is a score aggregate with cool tools that tell you if a game is being review bombed. There are plenty of very good reviews on steam and I use them all the time when going through my many thousands of wish listed indie games. Please don't tell you me you think reviews done by "game journalists" getting early review copies and going to review events is better.... on the whole. At least with steam reviews I know it's people like me rating a game.

  • Just DRG, waiting for the ocotoberfest event so I can grind 2x faster and finish the battle pass.

  • "Top games of 2023", Kerbal space program 2 "mostly negative" a classic

  • The funny thing is that "Publisher Bethesda was not permitted to pay additional royalties for the RPG because it scored 84 on Metacritic, according to Fallout New Vegas developer Chris Avellone. It appears that Obsidian's publishing contract included a deal that meant the studio would be issued bonuses if the game hit a Metacritic of 85." scores matter to Bethesda a lot even enough to ruin relationships and screw developers.

  • I'm feeling better everyday about ditching unity and moving to godot.

  • Ubisoft claims to be making soulful games again [x] doubt

  • How can reviews be monetized also the overall score is what really matters and is far more trustworthy than any games reviewer. Oh you mean points, I still fail to see how that matters when a game has 10k+ reviews and some tiny portion of them are memes. There is literally nothing better in terms of reviews.

  • There is some truth to remote being worse for engineers especially less experienced programmers that can't talk to more senior programmers face to face.
