  • Heh, I was sitting there for a few minutes this morning going “oh no what have I broken?” before I found out I could blame hackers.

  • That’s Team CET hard at work while America sleeps 😀

  • Oh man, do you ever sleep? Congrats on another great-looking release!

  • It took them a worryingly long time to process mine, but they did reply just before Fleddit day, so I think it’s incompetence rather than conspiracy.

  • Not a problem, it’s really helpful to be able to dig into an issue like this. Have fun with the app!

  • Yes it will once you switch. I was originally developing under my personal account but once Liftoff! started taking off I moved to a dedicated account, which meant we had to create a new app for TestFlight. If it says 0.10.xxx in TestFlight, you’re fine though.

  • Yes that’s great. I looked at the Figma file but seeing stuff moving around on a screen is very powerful. I think this looks like a huge improvement and it tones down a few of the stronger elements making it pass better as an iOS app. Have you worked in iOS at all?

Stu has already put a mock-up of some of these ideas in place and it’s looking very exciting!

  • No problem. Let us know if you find anything. edit: Plus check your version number. if you're on 0.0.1 you need to upgrade.

  • Yeah, looks like their contents are dropping out of the cache the moment they're off-screen and scrolling up is causing them to be reloaded ☹️. We are looking at scrolling issues at the moment and hope to resolve this asap.

  • It might be worth experimenting with a few changes to it and seeing if there’s something specific. Spaces in and after the password have been an issue too.

  • Okay, thanks for reporting this. Someone has raised an issue for this at GitHub, so you’re not the only person affected.

Are there any other unusual characters in your password? Spaces, Unicode, whatever?

  • No that’s exactly what I needed. It should be an easy fix, thanks.

  • Okay, you need to file a bug report with the Jerboa devs then. It should be an easy fix once they’re able to get round to get to.

  • On lemmy.world? That shouldn’t be a problem. Can you screenshot the page with any message that you get?

  • Shame it’s posted sideways! What app and OS are you on?

  • Oooh. I was under the impression that this was only an iOS issue so limited my change to that branch. I’ll check in with the Android team. If you could tell me what phone model and OS version you are on, that would really help.

  • On iOS I guess? See my other reply.

  • What app and OS? There’s an issue where iOS stores the image orientation in the photo’s EXIF data but Lemmy scrubs all of that for privacy purposes. Fixed in Liftoff! a couple of days ago (I hope) 😀
