How is the instance decided?

  • It basically asks each instance for its “all” feed (or wherever) and passes the combined contents into your chosen sorting algorithm. In 0.10.10 we do a better job of spotting and removing duplicates.

  • Oh that’s interesting. I was wondering if the cache was getting cleared each time a new version got installed on iOS and that’s why we’re not seeing the issue so much, but that rules it out. Thanks!

    Edit:just tried creating an account there and got a JSON parse error. Is everything okay on that instance?

    Edit 2: just tried on lemm.ee as mentioned below, and I get the same behaviour. Looking into it now.
