Someone at Pentagon was recently investigating UFO conspiracies and found that several kept looping back to them. And they realized that at least one was directly planted by themselves during the cold war to confuse the USSR about what weapons were real or not.

Most of the out-there conspiracy people just don't understand something(in this case climate change), and invent/attached themselves to a fantasy where they've "seen through the lies" and everyone else is wrong. A lot of them actually know deep down that they're wrong, but ironically they don't want to be seen as stupid for admitting they don't understand. That's why they love using phrases that indicate non-believers are dumb, followers/sheep, or that deniers just don't understand, etc.
TL;DR: They're too stupid to realize they're acting stupid.

The largest coal plant in North Dakota was considering shutting down in 2022 over financial issues, but is now approved to power a new data-center park.
Location has been laid out for a new power plant in Texas, from a single AI company you've probably never heard of.
There's also quite a few people in the US who are catholic in name only, and are actually against the pope/vatican. It's so bad that last year the vatican ended up excommunicating an Italian archbishop and former diplomat to the US, because over the years he'd gone full blown conspiracy theorist maga. To the point where he was ranting about the new world order and called pope Francis a servant of Satan.
Yeah, for some reason they've seemed to made it harder to find the actual start menu settings instead of more generic taskbar settings. So that's a fair point.
In the original studies they threw a bunch of adult wolves from different packs into a small enclosure. Then reported the fight for dominance as if it was how they normally act in nature. Most packs in nature are just a mom and a dad with kids from the last 2-3 years, who usually leave on their own.
More accurately, they don't think they can be wrong about anything. So when they're shown to be wrong or don't understand something, they make up a fantasy where they're correct.
Some like it and some dislike it. A lot of it can be changed or turned off anyway, so most just pick what they like.
