  • According to the article, it sounds like it was more often private contractors working with the military rather than military personnel themselves

  • Took awhile, but finally starting to figure out the right ratios so it doesn't end up all watery and soggy

  • Kbin's UI is just better. I realize both can be customized, but I'd prefer not to mess around with any of that yet. Plus I know people on mastadon, so that sealed it for me.

  • As my dad once said to me years ago "if you don't pull out you deserve whatever happens next"

  • Yes! This game and Threads of Fate were two of the greatest forgotten games from that era

  • Konosuba is an awesome show even if you're not an anime lover. It's essentially the animated version of every DnD party ever

  • Nah, just one more item in a long list of poor Japanese to English translations

  • Ah, but did he say you need to do anything about them?

  • So will posts in a kbin magazine also appear on the lemmy front page?

    Yes, and visa-versa

  • Well as a former engineer with 15 years experience, the ONLY thing reasonable is the user content one, and ONLY if you intend to post pics straight from the device.

  • That would be a good guess, but this was in Shibuya station

  • That's a very poor metric considering the vast number of karma farming, chatgpt, and other bots they have. Reddit admins have been caught several times and even admitted to inflating the numbers

  • Digg to Reddit wasn't a single mass exodus either. It took years, even after the digg redesign. There were still plenty of people left on digg complaining how reddit's UI sucked, was super confusing, and people would eventually come crawling back. The redesign was just the beginning of the end, just like this API thing will probably be the beginning of the end for reddit too

  • Exactly! Who wants to do the same thing forever until they die? I'm not old but I'm getting there, and I've switched quite a few times. I started out in engineering, switched to PM, then banking, real estate, helped my wife with international trading, and in a couple years I'll probably drop that and buy a campground or something and run that until retirement. Don't overthink it, focus on yourself, your family, and your friends, and just do what seems fun at the time

  • Thank the gods that I live in a country where I don't need to deal with that bullshit.

  • Our Redbox kiosks are in high-traffic locations where millions of people frequently shop, such as grocery stores or value retailers.

    Doubt

  • As someone who has had to do that, no, it needed to go away. I get wanting to look nice, but clothes need to be practical too. There's not much point to it when you're setting at a desk looking at PC monitor all day. It's expensive to buy, and expensive to keep clean. And back in the 60s it wasn't 45c in the shade either. Making employees wear suits and ties like back then is apt to kill a few people.
