Sounds about right. I reported the /r/ryona sub repeated over the years. It's a sub dedicated to sexualizing violence against women. It finally got taken down for being unmoderated, so they switched to /r/ryona, and now /r/RyonaHentai. Every time I reported I'd get a message saying "Thanks for submitting a report to the Reddit admin team. After investigating, we’ve found that the reported content doesn’t violate Reddit’s Content Policy." The admins literally don't give a fuck unless it makes the news
No genuinely, 100%, actually, fuck that. Forget gender, lgbt, and all that for a moment. In a very general sense, a teacher has a duty to society to challenge children and teach them to be better people. Sometimes that will clash with the bigotry and racism held by their parents, and that's a good thing. The moment we prevent teachers from trying to make a better world is the day our society ends.
I dunno, these type of comments have the same vibe as "see! it snowed last night, global warming isn't real!". Yes, this individual incident makes it seem we're fine, but overall it's still treading towards "we're fucked"
Personally I'd suggest switching servers then, you'll still get all the content anyways. I started out on lemmy.world, but moved over to kbin.social and haven't had any issues after that
