  • It means the two million people playing it now have to get emails, promotions, and keep sony products in their mind.

They obviously didn't think it would be popular. Just like Wizards of the Coast when they tried to put out a new license that said "anything with the words 'dungeons and dragons' on it becomes our intellectual property", they assumed that pissing off their entire fanbase would be net positive because people will keep buying their stuff no matter how bad it gets.

  • The founding fathers really botched that one, should've been "the right to wield katanas and throw ninja stars at one's oppressors" or whatever people were fighting with in the 17th century

  • Now I wish there was an advertising studio where, like, they specialized in shitty ads for real things. Like "I made a game on newgrounds, you WON'T LAST TEN SECONDS" but it's just a flappy birds clone or something

  • I know. When any post contains the word "catholic" pretty much half of the comments say exactly your point. The catholic church is a hierarchy, and it has god-awful middle management. But condemning an entire religion because of internal corruption is like condemning a minimum wage employee for the actions of their boss's boss's boss. The guy's just trying to make a sandwich.

  • Yeah smash bros brawl was my childhood game. If you like how slap city looks you could check out Fraymakers too, that one's in alpha right now but it looks promising.

If I had the time, patience, and network to learn a new fighting game it'd probably be the newest Guilty Gear though. Breaking someone's neck with a coffin-flail looks like so much fun.
