  • That's Steve from gamers nexus. They do consumer/prosumer computer hardware reviews, but also deep dives into industry practices, often exposing shady or illegal behavior.

He is lovingly referred to as gamer jesus due his scruffy look, generally affable nature, and habit of trying to right wrongs in the industry.

  • Also you don't get to physically assault people by grabbing at them them and not expecting a response.

The cops clearly wanted any excuse to arrest him. It sounds like hes got a fine lawsuit from several directions available.

  • Dude "solar city'd" sold it to himself again. Pulled the same move with the falling solarcity company his cousins were running into the ground and saddled tesla with its dysfunction. He was a huge shareholder in it, and opted to spread out his losses to all Tesla shareholders.

Dude sold twitter, which he owned 80% of, to Xai, a company he owned 52% of, and apprently the financials were hilariously cooked as expected. Those 48% share holders in Xai that aren't that fuckhead just got hilariously hosed.

  • Bikeshedding is when instead of making important, compex decisions that have consequences for being wrong, someone focuses on the simple, low impact, minimally important part of a project that has no consequences if its fucked up.

I think the term comes from construction projects where instead of finalizing the design of a complex building, the execs spend the entire time talking about bike parking on site. What color to have the roof, how many bikes it should hold, etc.

Bikeshedding is about offloading responsibility while still feigning involvement. You, the owner, avoid the whole part of your job youre paid for, i.e "making the hard decisions" and through misdirection and inaction, make someone else do it. That way you can blame them later if things go wrong, or take credit for their work if they go right.

  • 100%. It's a coordinated judgement about who they can get to reliably make them a profit. "Pays the bills on time" is the biggest factor in your credit score.

If you look at each of them (payment history, how much credit is open and not used, how long has the credit been open, how often have they asked for more credit recently, how many types of credit do they have i.e house/car/cc) they all have to do with figuring out if you will pay them.

If the answer is yes, they will give you a giant whirlpool to spend. Once you have it you will likely make them a profit, because almost everyone does. Credit scores are just a way to tell if it's worth hooking you on "easy" money.

  • Their main issue is all of the sudden hard pulls for new accounts. Each one hits your credit for something like 30 points. I expect doing that over and over rapidly increases that ding each time. They dont want to loan you money if you are desperate for money, so they hit your score if you ask for too much too fast.

Their second issue, credit utilization, i.e how much credit you have that's not in use, is affected each time they cancel a card. That's hitting their credit as well, as each canceled card closed reduces their total unused credit percentage.

Between the two, i wouldn't be suprised if that 830 is 600 right now. The good news for OP is that the new credit dings wear off fast. If they just stop opening credit cards, their credit will be in the 800s again in a few weeks.

  • Biblically accurate angles are nightmare fuel.

Angels described in the bible aren't people with pretty bird wings. They are oscillating, intersecting ribbons of eyes and feathers, pulsing and shifting and glowing.

    Here is an example:

  • Permanently Deleted

    Jump
  • At the same time, a lot of the most famous YouTubers/etc are also deeply formulaic. They copy the same trends, use the same formats, and post the same kind of videos.

Gaming YouTubers flock to the same game at the same time or just play the ones that get big views like minecraft/etc, cooking youtubers are all doing "viral remakes" or "rate these 45 types of chicken nugget" or "eat the menu" videos/etc.

There are always solid people doing their own thing, but the social media zeitgeist is just recycled, low effort, high engagement garbage, just like netflix.

  • I reset my gut biome over the course of a few months. It's honestly a huge pain in the ass. You have to juggle different ones until you find one that works, and you often wont know that until a couple of weeks of use. You also need to cut out things that don't interact well like a lot of fake sugars/etc, and often take the probiotics on an empty stomach and wait for a bit to eat, which is inconvenient. This is the one that finally worked for me, but it took 2 months of taking it as recommended.

It did have a marked affect on me though. Solved some long standing stomach issues. I weirdly also started really enjoying pickled foods, something I had been adverse to my entire life. The gut really affects you in odd ways.
