  • I'm not eating from the tip of my penis.

Phimosis is completely physiological/natural for younger boys and actually helps to protect the head of the penis against infections.

    Source

If it needs washing, you can just spray water from the shower head into the opening.

But it's also kinda like the vagina for girls. It doesn't really need washing or special treatment unless it's infected.

In any case, messing with the penis of your son and making them feel unhygienic or like their foreskin is a problem is likely much more damaging than a little bit of smegma.

  • Texts still aren't free in Germany, most of the time, they usually cost around 10 cents each. Sure, you can get free texts for around 2€ a month, but it's an optional add-on to your plan and not worth it for many people. Especially as everyone uses WhatsApp or Signal anyway, which are basically free (pretty much everyone has a data plan, obviously).

  • They're pretty much the same. Use docker documentation for learning, but actually use podman, because it's nicer to use (doesn't require root, easier to install on many Linux distributions).

  • "compost waste" will usually be used as fertilizer. It depends on the region, but they'll often extract bio gas first and the residue will be further processed by machines and bacteria into compost or fertilizer.

Other garbage will usually be burned and then buried. Maybe partially recycled. But completely different processes.

  • When measuring lengths and time, metric units are super useful. Micrometers, Millimeters, Centimeters, Meters and Kilometres are easily and often converted in a lot of technical jobs.

Same with nanoseconds, milliseconds and seconds when dealing with time in simulations or other computer programs (e.g. game development).

Milliliters, Centiliters and Liters are commonly used in cooking.

What's wrong with hectometers? I don't know how often they're used but dealing with a factor of 10 or 100 to the next "regular" unit (meters or kilometers) is no big deal.

  • In the US cutting off the foreskin for phimosis or other minor issues is unfortunately very common (probably because "it's no big deal, many had it done") when using lube and careful stretching or just waiting would have been sufficient.

Cutting off the offending part should always be the last option, e.g. in the case of cancer. We don't need an exception that cutting off e.g. a finger should be only done if medically necessary. That's obvious. It should be the same here. Otherwise you're just creating a loop hole.

  • Super lazy? Random bread/toast with store bought hummus.

A little bit cooking is okay? Then pasta with olive oil and garlic (and parmesan or chili if available). Or alternatively I put a can of kidney beans with a can of tomatoes, garlic, chili, and spices in a pot, cook it a bit, and serve with rice, pasta, bread, or tortilla chips. Or whatever else is quickly available.

    Or frozen pizza.

  • I simply can't believe that they released the game in this unfinished state. Early access or a public beta would be understandable, but you just don't release a half-finished product promising to deliver the remaining stuff later.

The Minecraft way where you continually provide upgrades for your game can obviously work, but in that case, the game is cheaper and the upgrades are free. If they were going that route, CS2 should have been a free upgrade of CS1 with all the features of the previous product and nobody would've complained.

If you buy another full product, you expect another full product.

  • That's true. I think the sequels did a lot right. A woman as a main character was long overdue. The visuals are great, acting is good for the most part.

But there's no overall story that makes any sense and it contradicts the previous movies pretty much everywhere. 7 wasn't very believable, but made at least some sense if seen on its own. 8 didn't seem to have much story impact at all, people seem to just solve short term problems constantly. And 9 could well be a parody. A parody with a very big budget.

I liked the spin off movies (Solo, Rogue One) a lot, though.

  • You acquire skills and then start the business. Without skills, you won't know if the idea is any good.

Like your idea could be to create and sell a software to design Lego builds, but without any skills in software development or law, you'd have no idea if that's feasible programming wise, how much work it would be, or if Lego might sue you for trademark violation if you do that.

Ideas are easy, doing the stuff is hard.

Obviously you can outsource some parts, for example you could hire a lawyer to make sure you violate no trademark law, but when you don't have much money, the reality is that you will start small and have to do most research and actual work (if not all) yourself.

  • I really liked his relaxing, calm MacBook repair and data recovery videos, where you could learn about soldering and electronics repair while watching. And I had no problem with a little bit of honest advertising for his own business.

While the right to repair is important, his videos about it are a lot of rambling and complaining about the same thing again and again. The titles are also often misleading or click baity. I can't watch them either. I hope they work for the right people, though.
