It's the Fediverse that I have been searching for.
Somebody on Lemmy made this quote I really like:
Twitter is people you care about posting content you don't care about. Reddit is people you don't care about posting content that you do care about
Twitter-like Fedi never clicked for me. I made a bunch of accounts over the course of two, maybe three years, each starting with the intention of maybe making new friends and having a good time. I met a ton of cool people but we never became good friends because I never got really invested into it, simply because my feed was never something I hoped it would be, something exciting.
Lemmy gives me exactly what I was searching for. I didn't use it prior to thr Reddit migration because there were too few people but now I am very happy
uBlock Origin has filters to block cookie pop-ups. I consider the extension a must anyway, no need to download another one like IDCAC or Consent-o-matic
I've replaced Flameshot with Spectacle on my system because it is preinstalled on Plasma, has almost the same set of features and, in my experience, work snappier. Also, Flameshot can have issues working on Wayland
I mean, it's hard to write when you don't have anything to write about. Try keeping a journal of things when you move to other place or go camping, there probably would be a ton of stuff to write about and keeping a journal would be much easier
Surprised people didn't mention Hyperbeam (former Tutturu)
https://watch.hyperbeam.com/
You can't upload your own stuff but you can just go to a streaming site and open any show you want
You seem like you just want to lick someone's boot. Two wrongs doesn't make one right, people come to Mozilla because it provides an alternative corp-free browser. If someone in the industry does bad things people want not to see that in Mozilla. This basically covers most of the points you made
They probably rely on donations because ppl like you, and the author of the article you linked, cannot admit that Mozilla can invest in projects like...
Thanks for making a nice strawman up, friend.
1.They don't rely on donations. Period. Donations are their additional source, they only rely on Google's funding
I didn't link to shit except the financial report made by Mozilla. I wouldn't have posted the article because of the last paragraphs where the author whines about "mah political organisations" and "agenda!!1!" like a typical right winger
Don't equate me with the author of the article, I only defend some of his points because they were already made by others years ago, it's no new discovery to everyone, except you, apparently, that Mozilla is using their funds poorly
You don't have to reply to any of that, it's evident that my arguments can't help you if you find record pays for CEO whilst firing regular employees in a supposedly not-for-profit/non-profit organisation normal
It's all good now. I was able to see the edit note in the post body, but the title was still with the misspell, so I thought you assumed editing works the same as on Reddit
On the other hand, try not to get into distro hopping hell
