The only time I could describe my experience with Plasma Wayland on laptop as painful was when Zoom was constantly crashing when I tried to screen share and it wasn't even Plasma's fault. So don't exaggerate, Wayland session has its problems and the dev team is aware of it but generally it is usable for most people
The problem is that there is no valid alternative at the moment, so I wouldn't call that Stockholm sybdrome. Hosting that much content for free costs ungodly amounts of money to Google
LibreWolf is glorified arkenfox.js. You also have to put your trust into the LibreWolf team so they don't ship you a compromised binary and stuff. I'd prefer Arkenfox for security reasons.
If you need Wayland you will know, if X worked for you well and you didn't search for how to sandbox it or maybe for some other functions that Wayland has then don't switch and don't break what works for you.
Hm, I just tried it and it indeed does behave like you described, but only if you slide the fingers diagonally. If you slide them vertically you won't have this issue and it's the reason I didn't stumble upon it before
Edit: wait, seems like this is not the case. It behaves weirdly, sometimes I can zoom just fine, sometimes sliding fingers won't zoom but do nothing.
If someone had any doubts about federation with Threads, they shouldn't by now. Facebook is trying to turn Fediverse into Shittyverse and Fedizens should resist that
