Not a problem. I use IRC and Usenet (in the past) for most of my searches, but some things are too old to be on those and in any condition to work after download. Proton VPN provides specific servers for port forwards (maybe only on paid subs), but that makes no difference when I provide it to the client. The search for a fix continues!
I appreciate the suggestion. I have followed their guides, set up Proton VPN with their torrent servers involving ports to forward. I updated that port in the client and it still just sits there, staring at me with a 0.3 seed rate. I keep them up for at least 30-days (to appease my private tracker's 2:1 seeds or 14-day offering) to no avail. I keep trying different things and just kind of accept it, for now. Maybe when I move to Linux as my daily driver I'll have better luck in that field!
You and I are in similar boats, except I only gave Windows 11 a single install on my personal gaming rig before going back to 10. With the threat of 10 going EoL, I'll be forced to move to Linux soon, myself. After working in PC and Windows troubleshooting for over 20-years all my foyers into Linux have been met with self-imposed damage resulting in an abandoment of Linux. This happened with spare computers or server setups since Windows Vista.
I'm nervous about the future of my gaming addiction, but will not use Windows 11.
I would love to seed but I can never seem to get my client and network setup to do it with any torrent I've tried. I've attempted everything I can find online, across different ISPs, computer builds, and OS instances. Can't ever seem to get it working between all the different configurations.
Now I'm running a pfSense firewall on a FIOS connection, with Windows 10, and qBittorrent behind Proton VPN. Still haven't been able to get even freeleech torrents to seed. I've tried a lot of clients and ports over the years. I think it may be something I'm doing wrong!
Hilariously dry comedy with the late Val Kilmore as a sassy gay man. Every other movie I wanted to suggest was already posted here. These are all great choices!
It's only possible to do this if tRump has some sort of respect for the person. He's so desperate to be part of the big league that he either falls over himself trying to butt into the spotlight with world leaders or capitulates to flattery from them. He doesn't see Democrats as anything but temporarily-alive opposition.
I just don't think it'll work out for Democrats the way it can work for world leaders.
This! Also, I suspect that Mike was the insider leaking shit to the press about the regime actions and closed-door meetings. The journalist on the Signal chat looked like incompetence, but I think it was Mike trying to shed light on their clear Records Act violations by using Signal for official communications. Then the press happens to photograph his use of a third-party Signal app that allows archiving, something Signal doesn't natively have.
If we stop seeing these big meeting leaks, such as the scuffles between Rubio and Musk, and big scandal topics, then we'll have it possible answer.
I know it sucks but I'm glad you seen to have corrected the problem. As someone who does more harm than good with Linux systems, myself, to fix a Linux issue without completely reinstalling the OS, is impressive and you should be proud to have accomplished such a feat!
Just my two cents as someone who does this a lot, myself, only change one thing at a time when testing troubleshooting suggestions. I know the reply suggested a few things in succession, but that was showing progressive steps to confirm and identify the underlaying cause. Doing them all at once fails to correctly identify the root-cause at best, and at worst may have introduced new problems.
I say this again, as someone who notoriously does this all the time. It's a time-saver reflex, but one that will bite you in the ass eventually.
We need to follow David's advice about primary-ing corporate Democrat incumbents that won't do anything except fight progressives and their candidates. Notice how that proposal got the Democrats to perk up and denounce that idea immediately? They literally prove, everyday, why they are unfit to represent anyone but themselves and their monied masters.
Chuck giving up leverage and other Democrats voting for tRump cabinet picks are all reps that need to go. Resign or we will make you resign! That's if we have free and hair elections again.
These inexperienced tech bros are not writing regs and laws, though. They're using generative AI to identify existing programs to gut. You are talking about legislative changes to keep up with the times and that's not what they are doing here, to the detriment of the whole country.
Exactly! However, to little too late his ravenous base will already have been spoon-fed their next scapegoat. In the words of Gandalf the Grey, "hold on to your butts."
Could it be that Mike was the insider that was leaking stuff to the media and this archiveable version of Signal is to be able to prove and/or keep Signal conversations that would otherwise be removed from the official app? I mean, just them using Signal is a violation of the Records Act, no, due to the ability to remove entire chats after a period of time? Everyone thinks he's incompetent or dumb, but he may have added that reporter on purpose to expose their use of Signal in the first place and he's using this unofficial version to save chats we would otherwise not have record of. If the insider info stops now, we'll know why.
You didn't highlight the best part of that interview, and something other journalists should start doing, he handed tRump his own ass and never looked or sounded flustered or worried about the results of the interview. He asked hard questions, even some that sounded dumbed down to help tRump's feeble brain understand.
The best part was shortly after this quote, I think, where tRump said how something might not happen, like completing the rest of the interview, and the dude straight said, "we will." The look on tRump's face was like a parent hearing their kid tell them "no" for the first time. But he didn't say anything more. It was a glorious example of how to deal with a bully.
tRump can't handle direct confrontation to his actions. He gets pissed and, if he can, tries to leave the scene or, like this interview and the debate with Harris, he's stuck and has to do the whole thing or look like a baby. It's why his only push back is digital or when the other party can't rebuke him. He's a coward who, like most conservatives, can dish it out but can't take it. He relies on his base to do the tough guy stuff and uses his platform to rile them up.
