That's a good combo.

I've seen others get the battery replaced, but it heavily depends on the phone. Samsungs can be pretty cheap from what I hear.

My pixel phone is a ticking bomb.

You can put other OSs on the fairphone instead of their defaults.

But yeah it's frustrating no matter what there is a downside of just owning a stupid phone.

And some phones already have replaceable batteries.

Super easy. You can also do basic triangulation with some specialty hardware.

Meshtastic with 3 jumps would be stretching for actual communication. Plus Bluetooth is even worse for security. Direct connection might be a better way to use the device.

I've had meshtastic for about 2 ish years now and its still being worked on.

The more experience you have, the more BS your able to smell. Sometimes I marvel at how succinct other people can be fixing an issue with amazing docs. Compared to my old "wizard spell" shenanigans that solve the issue, but only on a Tuesday, full moon, goats, etc....

Its hard to solve issues, even harder to keep the solution working after a certain amount of time.

I think certain regions of the US do have them and others do not at all.

For example, where I am at, I have only met one other person in real life that has one. But I do hear about a lot of my friends on the east coast having them. Dunno.
