That's an improvement on the ones I have. I need to replace them because they're like 3+ years old and the batteries are dying (plus the case is half broken). They're also Jabra, I think it's the Elite Active 75 or something.

There are 2 major annoyances with those ones though. One is that the controls on the left earbud are "directional", like click the button forward for volume up, backward for volume down. I can never get the right direction when I have gloves on. Even worse than that is that the left earbud is slaved to the right earbud, and only the right earbud connects to the phone. That means I never know what the charge level of the left earbud is, and sometimes it loses sync and since it's effectively "invisible" from the phone, it's hard to reset.

I've also had issues with getting the earbuds correctly lined up in the case so they charge. There have been times I've had them in the case for hours, put them on, and got a "low battery" warning almost immediately. Part of that is that the batteries are old and dying, but part of it is also that the charging contacts are a bit finicky.

I've heard the newer models are better, but I think I want to try a non-Jabra one next. I may go back to Jabra if it turns out other models have their own annoying quirks.

I was thinking of something like this Bluetooth media remote that I think is meant to be mounted on a steering wheel or a bike/motorcycle's handlebars. I think if I had that inside my glove I could know which buttons were which by feel.

But, I've never owned / used one, so I don't know how well they work, and how compatible they are.

Is the control panel wired to the buds? One solution I've considered is getting a small remote that I could keep inside my glove, but if it's wired I don't think that would work.

If you know what model they are I'd be interested in learning more.

Taco Bell sells tacos that are reasonably close to Mexican street tacos. Obviously not as good, but it's a small soft tortilla with fillings, that's what you get in Mexico too.

Burritos are also Mexican, though they're not as common across the whole country as tacos. The modern burrito comes from Ciudad Juarez right on the border with Texas.

Most of the rest of the Taco Bell menu isn't authenitcally Mexican, but I'd say their core menu items are tacos and burritos.

They're not at all snobby. The French in France are snobby. If you try to speak to them in French and it isn't Parisian-style french, they'll try to switch languages on you because they can't bear to have their dear language mangled like that.

The Quebecois aren't snobby, they're just obnoxious about preserving their language and culture. And it gets pretty absurd. Around the world stop signs say "STOP" even in French speaking countries. But, in Quebec they mostly say "Arret", and when a local English-speaking community has stop signs that say stop, vigilantes sometimes change them to Arret.

Nope. The Canadian government just sighs and wishes Quebec wouldn't be such a problem.

So, apparently it comes from "quesada" which was a form of cheesecake, and the "illa" diminutive ending. Over time it has come to mean a fried tortilla with cheese and other fillings.... except...

In Mexico City, quesadillas don't necessarily have cheese in them. The rest of the country makes fun of them for it. But, if you're ever in Mexico City and want a nice cheesy quesadilla, be sure to order a "quesadilla con queso".

By "click panels" do you mean basically clicky buttons? Or is it the kind of buttons where you can click on the left part and click on the right part?

The ones I have right now (Jabra) have a clicky button on the right, which is fine. But, the one on the left has a "click on the left side to do X, and click on the right side to do Y" setup. That one just doesn't work with mittens on for me. I can find the ear button and click it through multiple layers, but I can't manage to click on the right part of it. That means if I'm trying to say raise the volume, it's a 50/50 chance whether I'll raise it or lower it.

Nah, not going to do that. I really hate the voice assistant and never use it. Glad it works for you, but it's not for me.

Thanks, those are definitely options worth considering.

If nothing else, if I get a cheap pair then find a good set, I'll have a backup in case I lose the better ones.

The world would be a better place if people were celebrated for changing their minds if it was done for a good reason.

"I changed my mind because my views were unpopular" is a terrible reason, and true of many politicians.

But, "I changed my mind because I learned new things and had new experiences" should be admired. Also, "I changed my mind because the world changed" is another one that, at least sometimes, is good.

You're still going to get issues because of misunderstandings and loopholes.

All Beef is a brand name, the vow doesn't mean what most of the customers think it means.

As for laws, what does it mean that laws are bound by magic? Are you bound to a law you didn't agree to follow? Are you bound to laws you never knew existed? What happens if you make a promise to do something that is actually illegal? How does the magic resolve that?

Allegiance to a flag is a pretty meaningless statement. It's like allegiance to a shoe, or fealty to a belt buckle.

For example, how can you be disloyal to a flag?

Why would oversold flights happen less often? The contract wouldn't even have to change. The contract is that they'll fly you from A to B, but maybe not in the plane that you expected.
