  • I’m definitely accidentally throwing them off.

My senior cat sometimes gets pumpkin baby food to keep her regular and I bought a bib to keep spat out medicine off her fur. Gentle unscented soap and detergent for me. The ads for prenatal vitamins and pregnancy tests are going wild.

When I buy a tool it’s all macho car ads.

I seem to get alcohol, fast food and gambling ads regardless

And they keep advertising things I can’t eat

  • Tomorrow I’m going to be getting my phosphate supplement, Melbcat’s biccies, and maybe some physical storage items from Officeworks. It’s going to be an expensive day but you know. There’s a need.

Feeling a bit stressed for the end of the year when I’m going to have to give up my social media. It’s both really unhealthy mentally and bad for privacy but it’s something for days where I can’t do much. I wish I knew how to do useful things like code or could get rid of this art block.

Edit: I also found a box of 100 pre-pasted toothbrushes online for $26.90. Unit cost of about 27 cents, very nice. The drawback is they may not have fluoride and might get thrown out after.

Also I don’t know the website. Plus they might get stolen off my doorstep and thrown into a bush or bin before they can be given out…

Still considering it for the community pantry when money is less tight because even if they’re crappy, 100 toothbrushes supplies a lot of people who might not be able to get a new one. And they can be kept for reuse with donated fluoride toothpaste.

  • Agreed. I had a tiny one with a dvd player and after that was gone accidentally bought a huge tv online with a player that doesn’t seem to function.

I think I’m gonna just sell it on and use the desktop to watch dvds if need be. As I put a cd drive in when I built it. Clunky but eh.

  • I’m also working on getting Linux onto an old desktop that doesn’t have the requirements to update to Windows 11. I’m backing that up and will see how I go once I’m done with previous. I’ve installed it before but only did things like installing stuff and surfing and once ran an antivirus to practice the commands so this might be an easy way to take a deeper dive than previously. See if it can do the things I need.

The one snag with that is I’m trying to do the checksum to verify the Cinnamon iso before creating the bootable version and the hashes are not matching.

I downloaded both the sha256 files I was directed to so they should be the right ones, I’m typing the powershell command right and it’s working, and have tried multiple mirrors for the iso so… ???

Maybe I should try again with Ubuntu? But Mint is the beginner version for people transitioning from Windows

  • I’ve sorted out the gross sinks, used drain cleaner, and rinsed inside the end of the hose outlet. But due to having standing water the dishwasher pipe still smells.

I’m going to have to scrub that out properly at some point because when I have the ability to deal with it all I intend to sell the dishwasher.

    Dirty bench is next.

  • Feels like I’m being buried by life crap -_-

The phosphate supplement needed to be ordered in and then the 4 day public holiday hit so I can’t get it until Tuesday. I feel like shit. I should be resting but I need to sort the things that piled up while unwell.

Scrubbed the bathroom sink out and wiped the mirror so at least they’re clean now. Next I keep working on Mt Washmore, do the dishes in the sink.

And then keep trying to chip away at the digital clutter. I haven’t been able to deal with it before now due to constant survival mode.

Next week I have to try and get more antibiotics or somehow get an emergency appointment.
