  • That’s nuts. I’m glad you got out of there.

Really not good about the blow to the head though, I agree with everyone else to be very careful about that. Fingers crossed that nothing serious has happened.

  • I used to like looking at them on walks but never dared to pick any for consumption. That’s a specialist skill and a high cost to being wrong.

I did once grow some of a safe variety from mycelium though (grow kit).

  • Ughhh. Why am I such a pack rat. I need to find the energy or the discipline to get more organised.

Might go through a storage bag of ‘nice’ (aka seldom worn) clothes and cull most of the dresses. Inexpensive Kmarget brands and possibly a little dated but they’re still fairly new and nice enough in style that they might be taken by somewhere that gives women clothes for work.

There are some gardening books about building garden beds but quite honestly I don’t think I’m physically up to diy right now. A friend’s kid might like to have them (grandpa could help).

    Shredding of paperwork will continue.

I’m mentally earmarking some other things to sell.

  • Amazon is evil but I am not going to get around to sawing the litterboxes down… I managed to find some with a really low side entrance made for senior cats. Fingers crossed that helps.

We’re going back to the vet soon to get a urine draw to figure out whether these antibiotics are working.

  • Poor Melbcat seems fussy and is a bit ‘backed up’, still seems painy, and still cries after peeing :( She also seems unusually hungry for wet food.

I’ve been giving her osmolax + extra water in her wet food and am taking her back to the vet Monday. The uti might not be resolving even on the hardcore antibiotics or she might need to have her thyroid checked again. Or perhaps it’s her kidneys worsening 😣

I also haven’t been trying to apply the dental gel because I don’t want to upset her.

Edit: I’ve given her a spot on treatment and used the oral gel. I am a mean abusive mumther

  • I looked it up, this says it should last a few days tops and see a dr if it persists…

If you get brushed off and it’s ongoing definitely get a second opinion. It could be an underlying malabsorption issue
