  • I'm roughly 25 years into using computers daily and never turning them off and I've never had or used a desktop that didn't sleep and wake reliably, either naturally or using the sleep and wake buttons on the keyboard, with both Linux and Windows

  • Most cameras are around 5W when in use, and it looks like the Honda e has a 35.5 kWh battery, and real world testing of the Honda e comes to around 167 Wh/km or 270 Wh/mile, so if you assume 3 cameras (2 side, 1 rearview) to replace mirrors, every hour of uninterrupted driving will have the cameras reducing your range by around 90 meters?

  • I'm an American, and yes, I have two.

One of them is a cheap $30 one we bought when we moved in and needed to heat meals from frozen because we didn't have pots and pans yet, and it's now in its box in the storage closet as a backup in case our good microwave breaks, but I do have two

  • What's the issue with Calibre Web? I add book to shelf on Calibre Web, and hit Sync on my kobo, and the kobo downloads the book and populates it in my library. What's the thing I'm missing or that's not working right?

  • I've been on Linux for a year but maintain computers for my whole family, and my kids are still on Windows for roblox. In that year I've needed to use the command line on their Windows desktops more than on my Linux desktop, because I haven't needed the terminal at all but for some fucking reason their computers won't let you just change the time zone you're in so I have to tzutil it manually

  • I like that you got a couple downvotes, I guess for calling a large text URL that spans the entire tailgate width and a giant fuckin QR code and the logo for the foundation a billboard? Like it's not as flashy as a lot of advert wraps but it's plainly visible from a decent distance, and it's on a gold cybertruck so I guess it is flashy. I wonder what the opposition to you calling it a billboard is

  • Oh, flatpak works great for me, it's just that it's too sandboxed and I inevitably need something to talk to something else and rather than learn to use flatseal I just gave up and installed the AUR versions of everything

  • I'm not that person but I impulse switched to Garuda (Arch-based) around 8 months ago with a 3080 and everything has just worked, the only thing I've had problems with is flatpak being the bane of my existence

  • I actually got an email from Nebula about how that's been discontinued

    Hello,

We will continue to provide complimentary Nebula access for the remainder of your current subscription period, but future renewals of your Curiosity Stream subscription will not include access to Nebula. And I believe before like, 2021 it wasn't available as a bundle but that could be incorrect
