Me too. I found unilem who's policy is explicitly not to defederate from any instance. I prefer to be treated like an adult and allowed to decide for myself who I block.

Trump won in 2016 and came within a few thousand votes of doing so in 2020. His supporters now are even more fired up and enthusiastic.

Most people who vote for Biden do so grudgingly. So this is an uphill battle for Democrats

But the planes lack stealth capability and are highly vulnerable to Russia's S-400 anti-aircraft batteries. So no game-changer but welcome nevertheless.

You are using an argument that is not new .. pilots have used it for decades (and some still do) to complain about automation on the flight deck. Yet every day tens of thousands of airliners fly to their destination (and sometimes land there as well) with no pilot intervention. Pilots could easily be eliminated from airplanes .. the reason they are still flying has more to do with PR and a public not willing to fly without a human up front. But automation has made air travel safer by an order of magnitude. It will do the same for cars.

Just be very careful if you do this. If you leave your local SIM card active and someone calls your local number your phone will ring and if you answer it you can pay huge roaming charges.

Another reason a fan works is because it increases evaporation of sweat. Evaporation involves a phase change which requires energy. That energy is extracted from the body surface. Sad to see that our voting here is just as messed up as it was on Reddit. People will downvote a sensible cogent reply because they don't like the politics of the poster. Then they'll go and upvote a braindead 2 word comment like "fuck Trump". Lemmings indeed.

Our company is like that, but you're not going to get a call every night. Each person in our (small) support group does a rotation of standby one week every two months. During that week you need to be available after hours and have your cell phone on. The upside is that we get time off for working after hours and we get extra days off just for being on standby which more than compensates, plus we get good overtime pay.

And who defines reputable? You I suppose?

Argentines have been suffering miserably for decades and that is with parties from both the left and the right. They've all been useless. There is literally no one else to vote for.

The voters feel they have no alternative. They've tried the traditional left and the traditional right and both parties failed them.

Take El Salvador. They elected a fascist in 2019. He's turned the nation into a police state and locked up tens of thousands of young men without a trial. But his approval rating is currently 80% .. the highest in Latin America. The reason ? When he took office in 2019 the homicide rate was 51 per 100k people. It's now 8. People can walk down the street without fear. Gangs no longer harass young girls and extort protection money from local businesses.

If we want people to reject fascists we need to give them alternatives that actually work.
