You idiots. Kids with fewer financial burdens don't want to work in the factory farms! Plus when they do their fancy learning they start to figure out that there could be a better way of life than getting their limbs removed by machines last serviced when they were in diapers. By and large most millennials were children of boomers. Even a boomer born in '46 would only be 19 and average at first birth hovered around 24 for their generation. Isn't that pretty explicit in Children? Leto II frequently chastises his genetic memory father/actual father for being a coward to afraid to commit to the golden path. Paul saw where the golden path led and couldn't do it so he becomes the Preacher whereas Leto saw what was needed to guide humanity and thus sacrificed his to become The Tyrant

I would like to remind people that this is corpo speak. This is likely counting mobile shovelware monopoly, my little pony, trivial pursuit, clue, etc stuff. Plus there's Transformers and we don't know if they count only their own games or do they count something like the Fortnite crossover as a video game project? Hell I can name 4 active magic the gathering video games off the top of my head. It's entirely possible they count certain magic expansions as their own thing if they're complex enough (MH3, Assassin's Creed, Final Fantasy)

You've never held a perfectly smooth sphere. The earth is a much smoother surface than a billiard ball. There's no edge conceptually, in the same way that vacuum is not missing air, it's nothing. It warps spacetime in a way that you can't discern an edge. Likewise there is no "inside" a wormhole. It's a hole in three dimensional space that leads to another point in three dimensional space. There's no "inside" because that implies a point that exists outside our universe which based off our current understanding of physics, is impossible

We literally don't have the language to describe these phenomenons because humans are three dimensional creatures. We can't imagine these concepts because it involves a reality we can't perceive. It's like asking someone to imagine a color they've never seen. We can't do it

My understanding is that wormholes are the logical outcome of certain branches of theoretical physics. They share similarities to black holes in that they have so much mass crammed into a single point that the space-time just kinda breaks. However black holes emit a large amount of energy in the form of angular momentum from their spin and Hawking radiation. We would expect wormholes to likewise require large amounts of energy. Again, we can't know the specifics but that amount of energy is likely so huge that no human could make it. I'm talking about more energy than a million times all the food you will eat in your entire life. So unless these people are powered by secret fusion reactors instead of hamburgers, they're breaking physics. If you can do that then any other superpower is ancillary

It's also incorrect to think of a wormhole as a portal from portal that you can adjust in size. It's technically a three dimensional hole in a four dimensional plane. If you can't picture that don't worry, it's basically impossible for humans. There's no "edge" really to grab and expand. What "edge" of a perfectly smooth sphere can you hold onto to pull it larger? Fundamentally that's a flawed question

And a lot of the theories about how they function involve having such a large mass that it punches a hole in spacetime. Which takes several orders of magnitude more energy than humans have ever produced. Thus making them at will kinda breaks entropy as a concept

Elizabeth Warren was polling well then suddenly backed out, and all the super-delegates (something that shouldn't exist) had pledged their votes well before the actual convention. Then all that was left was Bernie who got smoked because there was no time to recover

Sure you could argue that's savvy political maneuvering which is what you want in a president but my point is that Biden didn't successfully campaign as much as he let other people do it and then got their support. Something he can't repeat as an incumbent

More specifically the IRS field book discourages reporting illegal income to other agencies for basically everything besides terrorism. Also, when you file taxes there's a reason there's an "other income" field. Nobody expects you to list "MS-13" as your employer. You can report money earned from illegal activities to avoid additional federal charges being tacked on

I'm curious what the market for a a bright and cheery souls-like game is. On one hand it seems like people really like the dark and oppressive atmosphere of those games but on the other all of the best ones are made by fromsoft and that's just their MO. Lies of P had some success and it was walking that line. I guess we'll have to see how this does

Eh, I think you'd be surprised. It really takes a lot of time to get someone from new hire to productive member of a team. Even with the money to just shotgun hire new people and keep good fits it still takes time for them to understand the vision, tech stack, workflow, and culture. I honestly think software is an environment where finding and investing in good people matters more than money and that no amount of venture capital will fix that

Highly motivated developers with passion projects will always exist (Minecraft, Stardew Valley, Undertale, Dwarf Fortress). However producing high quality art in a corporate environment is possible, repeatable, and scalable if you acknowledge the inherent reality of creative development
