Before anyone makes the obvious joke, it’s important to remember that yes, there ARE smart conservatives. Folks like me are used to making fun of MAGAts and their ilk, but don’t underestimate the conservatives higher up.

Good news, everybody! Before long, this won’t be such a problem, thanks to climate change!

I keep thinking it’s FOD (foreign object damage) which is why you don’t want small, hard objects on a runway or something. Stuff like bullet casings can get sucked into a jet engine, and cause FOD that takes a plane out of service.

Then I notice that FOD doesn’t make any sense in context, reread the sentence, and realize it’s FUD. Whoops.

I’ve always wondered what the difference is between a “rocket” and a “missile”, but constantly forget to look it up. Now I know it’s a guidance system. Thanks!

Seeing Dominoes as the standard for American pizza fills me with sadness and shame.

Yes, I know it’s only a shitpost, but still.

I work at a hardware store. Amusingly, the most detailed questions I’ve gotten have been asked by people calling on the phone. I love it when people have a specific item number and I can just look it up on the computer right away. We have detailed descriptions and specifications of most things in our inventory, and I’m more than happy to spend time helping people who know what they’re talking about.

When people call and give a vague description of an item that may or may not even exist, then I get exasperated. If I’m too busy to play twenty questions, I’ll just say that we don’t carry it. I have no problem helping that same person when they’re in the store, but when they call, they’re inevitably doing other things and aren’t listening to me anyway. If they won’t take their own problem seriously, I’m not going to, either.

Good. I wish him a slow, painful recovery.

I’m just glad he survived. Death is an escape he doesn’t deserve yet. He’s got many more years of “fun” to look forward to.

Hell, whether you partake or not, it’s part of the process. Slang becomes part of the language if it’s good, and it doesn’t stick if enough people think it’s dumb. Keep doing what you’re doing!
