I think yaml’s need for indentation alone makes it chaotic evil. I’ve seen so many people struggle with the indentation than they really need to it’s not fun. Especially problematic with large configuration files.

JSON is easy to unpack with tools like jq or whatever.

There’s a lot of foot guns in YAML. The specification is way more complicated with hidden obscurities. JSON specification is just 5 diagrams. YAML speciation on the other hand is an 86 page pdf, so there’s more room for nasty surprises (which is not a thing you want in configuration files).

I’ve also seen many people struggle more than they need to with the yaml indentation.

I think the only upside to yaml is that it allows for comments, but other than that JSON all the way.

Elden Ring really scratches that exploratory game itch for me. Every meter felt worth visiting. You never really know what awaits in the next corner. If you’re lucky it might be the entrance to a completely unique area, all with its own set of enemies and bosses. It’s a game that dares to put an optional secret area behind a secret area behind another secret area.

Even on second play through I was caught off guard by some new surprises.

Compare it to Tears of the Kingdom for example. Wherever you go, you will find the same sets of enemies and often even the same environmental assets. After you’ve visited a few of the sky archipelago islands there’s few other surprises to see there. Encountering the first Flux Construct is a fun challenge, but after the 20th one it has turned into a mindless chore.

That’s how GANs are trained, and I haven’t seen anything about GPT4 (or DALL-E) being trained this way. It seems like current generative AI research is moving away from GANs.

MGS3 is the best one in the series. They really nailed the MGS formula with that one.

It even replaced the select button, which to be frank was also quite useless (but not as much).

They tried with Cortana next to the start button. I don’t think anybody ever used it.

And the “give us feedback, your opinion is valuable” pop up after the page has been scrolled one pixel.

On the topic of Microsoft support, I hate how useless support boards are. They’re always responding with the same template answers describing the exact steps the asker clearly stated they’ve already done with no results. Microsoft is far from alone in this, but I just wanted to rant a bit.

Maybe the it’s the English language that is wrong?

My suspicion is that they will release a trailer at VGA, just like how they announced AC6. Hopefully it’s not releasing long after that.

ZFG. He has a nice deep voice. He mostly does Zelda Ocarina of Time speed runs, but as of lately he has focused on playing Zelda randomizers.

Isn’t most competitive multiplayer games like that? That’s like thinking chess has zero replay value because there are no unlockables.

Serverless is more associated with micro services where each micro service can scale independently from each other.

I hope they learned the value of protecting your branches.

Nah, they’re the one who’s contributing most to the project. Mostly because their code is so garbage no one else can work with it. But that’s not a thing the managers take into account.

There’s also that long time senior dev who’s overly confident in their abilities and force pushes production breaking code directly to master.
