I remember hearing about this in the context of space missions, Linux just isn't a good fit for critical systems

I have heard it was "disabled" but the comment wasn't substantiated. enabling Wayland on regular wine 9 is no more than a registry edit and an env variable

think I might skip it. I made the mistake of watching Picard and I really wish I could forget

my system sets the wrong bitrate for a device but I was able to configure it, you may want to browse the wireplumber wiki and see if its config options can meet your use case

been using wire plumber ever since it was default on arch. I wish my system defaulted to the right bitrate for my dac/headphones but it was simple enough to configure myself

for example, if GRUB changes the syntax of the config file, then the mismatching configuration can result in an unbootable system. it's so annoying because all it needs is a script to run automatically any time pacman sees that grub got an update. it just has to rerun grub-mkconfig

endeavoros has a major pitfall for new users that it has no default hooks to update bootloader, so to the uninitiated it will soon eventually "brick" itself (when grub changes it's config syntax or whatever)

my lug tries to help people trying to run lutris on old LTS versions and for one example we ended up having to tell them to use some .deb for lutris since ubuntu shipped a broken lutris version for a year or whatever users should always be able to depend on their package manager alone instead of side loading content. even had instances of their version of wget or curl being incompatible with winetricks and gitlab and githubs apis
