Yes, I'm aware of this version. But that doesn't solve the original issue.

This is fantastic. I REALLY hope you can set a control on a post that allows quoting to be disabled or only allowed by people you follow. A great step in the right direction.

I would, but from what I'm hearing it's down to a single Dev and apparently the MusicBrainz DB change has kept it basically offline for weeks. I'd think my ask is very low on that list of ever getting done.

Is there a reason you’re trying to expose them to the internet? IMO you’re better off not doing that and using Overseer as the only exposed service that talks to everything else. Exposing the whole arr stack is just unwise and unnecessary.

Yeah… that’s a non-starter for me. Not gonna risk my entire home lab when Plex doesn’t have any of that risk.

Also, running in Docker is fantastic but I’ve found Docker to be unstable at times depending on the version.

I've heard jellyfin has a lot of security issues, which I don't know if that's accurate or not. But the BIGGEST issue is lack of a proper tvOS app. I really don't feel like using Infuse or some other app just to use my library. Year after year I hear about people switching and yet, the gap is simply still there.

Thank you! It didn't come off as a dig at all. Trust me, I thought about it and spent about an hour on Internet Archive looking for a version that ran on its site. But nothing was there and I learned the hard way last year that Virtual Box is still in the Intel era, so it's useless for me.

I did look into UTM as others are saying, but based on its description it may not be able to run an OS that far back. Something to look into down the line.

Either way, again, thanks for reading my work. I really do appreciate it. There's some other old Microsoft goodies I've written in the past, like this commercial introducing Excel.

Hi, author here 👋. Thanks for the feedback. If the Internet Archive had it on their own VM to run, I would've tried playing with it and taken some screenshots. However, I simply did not have the time to get it running locally on my machine, especially because I'm all Mac and Virtual Box doesn't run on M-series hardware.

I agree it's a missed opportunity, but I chose to go a little bit of an easier route.

The VO was supposed to be cringy and over the top. IMO for adults it's just silly and for kids it's that funny intensity. Either way, I'd bet Nintendo did that on purpose.

As far as piracy goes, like... why? Either borrow it from a friend, your library (many rent video games), buy a used copy on discount, or just save up and buy it if you want to play it that bad.

The worst part is Apple's AI attempts are tame compared to other companies trying to force it in your face instead of something sitting around that you can choose to bring up. But the whole thing is a big mess and I hope they focus more on dev relations than this stuff.

Apple listening to shareholders burned it so hard. But, it's a good thing because it reminds them even Apple isn't immune to historic f-ups that can damage it.

TBH I would consider an M4 Mac Mini and either a NAS or DAS to go along with it. The power, efficiency, and price make it a really compelling choice.
