Functionally it is rooms connected by hallways, in terms of the generation. Its just that the hallways might be open(or winding) tunnels or might be dig-able terrain. But they do start the generation with placing "rooms" and then connecting them, which is similar to how other procedural generation methods work.
Just weird it in a way that is more capitalist lingo: " The govt will acquire a majority controlling stake and take the company private under it's direct control"
Isn't that part of the intent, along with renewing drilling, trying to shut down wind and solar, etc? Seems like accelerationism. Try and destroy the world as fast as possible.
Release vs now is the difference. Lots of huge improvements went in weeks and months after release that made a huge difference. You are also likely playing on a modern PC or on PS5 as opposed to the original base PS4.
They claim to be a public benefit corporation, so while they obviously need to get income to run servers and fund development, their objective as a company isn't just to maximize shareholder value.
I don't know where/how to find their actual foundation documents to see what those actually say for their balance of profit vs mission.
Does your power utility do net metering?
How much do you expect to generate compared to your usage on a annual basis?
I got a 6.5kW system a few years ago for a final price of around 12k after rebates. It covers nearby all of my usage and my provider does net metering, so really good days cover less good days, summer covers winter, etc.
Wonder if that will end up helping in the longer term.
