I am trying to spend more, but I would be lucky to have a once per week outing with friends. That comes with the territory of being a single parent and working full time.
Covid kinda messed me up. Barely keeping in touch with anyone, wasting away the days. And then it's hard even now to get back to socialising.
After having ADHD diagnosis and being put on meds it's easier. I think half of my introversion was just because my mind wouldn't shut up. It's hard to be social in that state.
I'm definitely not turning into an extroverted party animal, most of the things I love doing are introverted by nature. I'm starting to get to know a few familiar faces while mountain biking which is nice.
There's plenty of really offensive music out there, and you can't put one group on a pedestal and say 'but these guys you can't ridicule.' .. Except..
Thinking about it, the offensive music is towards people with bat-shit crazy belief systems etc, rather than criticising people for what they are. I don't think I would be ok with racist music for example, or music that targets.. idk, bald people, because it's something they can't change.
So actually, I agree, ban the song. Let's go back to ridiculing Christians, Scientologists, Muslims, Hindus, communists, etc because those are all belief systems that people can change.
What about all the American anchors that cause damage to things? Why are you blaming China when America does bad things?
Seems pretty hypocritical to put all this blame on China when they are a struggling developing nation while America is a first world country and drops their anchors on everything.
Make a joke out of it. One of my jobs was software support. When people asked what I did for work, I told them I provided technical and emotional support for frustrated lawyers.
When people ask you, tell them you are "in charge of writing code with bugs in it to keep the senior developers employed. It may or may not be intentional."
I would argue that socialism is not the far left that causes problems. In communism, ie the far left, it's the same as the far right; powerful and/or wealthy people oppressing the masses.
