  • I think you're mixing up territorial disputes between predators and hunting of prey. For example, in Alien humans are mostly the prey and in those cases the aliens are very quiet. They make noises when being attacked though.

It is like that in many movies. When a predator is disturbed by another predator or large animal/object like a human or a human in a car, it may decide to make noise in order to defend it's territory without having to risk injury.

  • hyprland has useful features for a tiling compositor, like a special container you can toggle that goes in front of your workspace and it's easy to customise and set up.

However, i think wayfire, even though much harder to set up (it needs a proper config and some helper apps or it's just empty and you can't even launch anything), has cooler effects and has a simple tiling plugin.

Also Gnome/mutter with the Forge extension is better than both, because you can optionally use just the mouse to drag windows at the title bar and drop them in a tiling frame of your choice. This is very helpful when your left hand is full of cheeto dust etc.. Gnome also has the extensions Burn My Windows, Focus, Desktop Cube and Dash to Panel which get you cool effects as well. It also has a Tweaks tool and the extension Just Perfection, which give you additional customization options. Gnome is very easy to set up and usable OOTB, even though not fine tuned. Also it is still backwards compatible to X11, in case you need that one app that looks crap in wayland (looking at you, Java)

  • Could be an issue in some cases, but mine only heats while water is flowing through. Otherwise it cools down. Also the input water in my region is clean and drinkable, so it hasn't enough food for germs.

  • the problem with that is, it's only meant for actual warzones. if someone has an actual accident and would be stopped by a normal barrier, but instead the mine blows them to bits, or a stupid kid triggers it somehow, that would be tragic.

IMO spike strips and dull wire (gets caught in wheels) combined with concrete blocks/pillars should be better to stop all ground vehicles, except hovercrafts

  • If i use google (i try others first), i always add -reddit in the search field and switch Search tools -> All results -> Verbatim . Also I have it bookmarked to assume my country is Azerbeijan, even tho I'm from EU, because that way it's easier to spot fake results they just mixed in for my location (they use IP location otherwise).

  • Yeah, that's the most dominant, but also sometimes nazi shit and the worst kinds of porn. Oh and I just had a guy eating raw meat and another one hit someone in the head from behind with some sort of tool. No idea what it was about, because I didn't speak that language.

  • No, AFAIK you can just follow or block users and then get a feed of the followed.

Also you get a feed of replies to your posts.

It also has an NSFW flag. In the Yana client it's called "Automatically open sensitive content". It will then show a button, instead of loading things the author flagged sensitive.'

I seem to receive messages in all languages as well. Some have interesting pics of burnt cars.
