  • There two sides to this, the insane one handled by Trump and the sane one from the project 2025 people. It's like they explained the concept of bringing factories back to the US to Trump and then his little brain just understood tariffs because it puts him in a place of power. The sane side is devalue the dollar enough so you can build stuff in the US without major costs... obviously trump is handling it like a toddler with a hammer

  • Someone made a comment awhile back, if international diplomacy was as easy as real estate then we would have had much less wars. It is hard, it requires specific skills, it requires years of trust building and give and take. All these idiots get is short timed wins that end up costing more in the long run.

  • I don't recall exactly the year but there was a commerce problem between Japan and either France or Germany in the 80s. Japan didn't want European cars in their market so made up a special inspection of engines for foreign cars. So the other side picked the best selling export I think Nagasaki bikes, and made up some special inspection as well. They ended up both allowing the free sale of both vehicles

  • I wish that was the only need...Ive worked with people who didn't want to walk 5 feet to the ashtray and prefered to flick their butts on the floor, at coffee shops with an outside area most people ignore the ashtrays and just flick it to the street...people are lazy
