  • Yeah i have 4 categories in steam

    • Beaten - games I have completed
    • want to complete - my real backlog
    • can never complete - for games that don't have a real end like mmos or multi-player only games.
    • Dead Games - for games that no longer work anymore because the publisher shut down the servers. This is a reminder to not buy these kind of games in the future.

I also add non steam games like Playstation and Switch games as shortcuts to a desktop files named after the game that point to nothing. Then add it to the categories to track.

  • This 100%, honestly what lemmy/mbin needs is a clean up of dead communities. That were created and abandoned during the reddit api exodus. As well as the active communities that are just a bot posting content from reddit and nothing else.

  • So from my understanding you can buy a key card play it in your switch two then turn around and hand it to me and it will just work as long as the Nintendo servers are active.

Also it does make it cheaper since you only have to store a small amount of memory for the cert a few mb at most and they can make a whole bunch of them as they are all the same. With non game cards you only have to deal with 32 GB cards or a 64 GB for bigger games so ether the game doesn't fit or you have to use two cards.

With game key cards size doesn't mater you could go up to 150gb and the user can just download it as long as the store stays online. It also stops game ripping with the migswitch. As the data is no longer on the card.

Please know I hate this as much as the next guy. I'm just saying nintendo doesn't care as this has been their brass ring they been gunning for for decades.

  • This article is trash Kit has no authority or knowledge of what Nintendo is going to do and the way the headline is written makes seems like he does. The headline should be written "Podcaster Thinks Physical Is Here To Stay Cause He Really Hopes It Does as That's His Preference"

Key cards are going to be pushed as hard as they can. For two reasons. It gives nintendo more control over pirates and makes carts cheaper. As production and cost of carts has plagued nintendo since the 80s.

I could see the next console having a 5/6G connection built in like kindle had just for the purpose of downloading games before they give up on key cards.

  • I mean that style of plane is better for the environment. I would understand a small like 4 seat prop plane. But jets have no better chance of staying aloft than an ATR-72. As long as they are maintained at the same level as the jet.

  • They are ment to listen to the people in their state and put forth bills or amendments to bills to help the people of their state they represents.

What really happens is they enrich themselves with insider trading and do stunts to keep their name in the headlines even if it hurts people they represent. The reason this works is journalism is effectively broken where it's all about sensationalism vs actual truth. So they more crazy the stunt the more your name is out there.

They put forward amendments and bills that were written for them by corporations that donate to their campaigns / lobby=bribe.

The reason it works is the vast majority of people ether vote because their party affiliation is wrapped up their personal identity or vote for the name they last heard. Also the vast majority of people don't vote at all. So they are not incentivized to actually represent.

  • The reason has nothing to so with higher quality. They just do cost cutting of not having to create lighting and pass the cost on to the customer by having us raytrace and thus requires more horse power that GPU makers failed to deliver.
