I have never run into this, honestly. I would assume if you are looking for a possible sexual relationship, that a person's sexual preference matters. Not to say gender is not important, but sex also is in this instance. If you expect a dick and get a clit, that's going to be a bit of a let-down, no matter how much you are romantically attracted to the person. I think it's mature to have this conversation early in the relationship. More people need to understand that you can discuss this kind of stuff like adults and well, if you're someone looking for a certain type of partner, there should not be shame attached to it.

Search YouTube for a video called "how to fall down the anti-sjw rabbit hole" to get started, great video by a great YouTube creator called Three Arrows., but really it is not difficult.to find this sort of information. I am also speaking generally instead of specifically on purpose because my goal here was to leave a comment. Not to have a debate.
This information is not hard to find, if you cannot or do not wish to learn about the entire situation, which is much more complicated than could be boiled into a reply here, perhaps you are willfully doing so. please look it all up. There have been plenty of articles and even documentaries made about it through the years since. It is not my job to teach you about it, and I'm not qualified, nor do I have sources ready.
Go to your local library and ask if they have audiobook borrowing through Libby or a similar platform! Not only are you NOT limited on listening hours, but it's free! You just might have to wait if all the "copies" are borrowed at the moment.
Also, if you have a cool library like I do, you might be able to borrow from multiple libraries. For example, my library card is for the St. Louis County Library, but it can also be used at the St. Charles County Library. So if I am looking for an audiobook on Libby, and SLCL has 3 virtual copies and they are all borrowed, I can search SCCL to see if they have any. I've had many situations where I'll find one library or the other will have a copy available for borrowing with no wait.
It's well known now that gamergate and large parts of the "MRA" movement were organized specifically to radicalize young white men, as a test run that would eventually become the alt-right pipeline to radicalize even more people. Steve Bannon and his band of merry trolls were heavily involved.
So, yes, it really was sexist, racist, full of hate, and directly led to the alt-right movement online.
