  • During remote learning, he gave students two articles on the origins of the coronavirus. One was an opinion piece from the New York Post, a tabloid, and the other was from a scientific journal. He asked students which they thought was accurate. More than 90% chose the Post piece.

Fuuuk how could you possibly make that choice when presented with both?!?

  • You decide, that's the point. Its learning to identify fake news, eg by confirming the citations and researching the origin source of the information.

  • A 2022 Pew Research Center survey found that adults under age 30 are nearly as likely to believe information on social media as they are from national news outlets

I knew it was bad, but Jesus Christ that's very bad

  • Thats not a good idea because these systems false-positive all the time.

If my first login attempt has the correct username, correct password, and correct totp token, then I should always be let in. That's literally how auth works.

  • We need laws that prevent companies from discriminating by how you look. Websites should only be able to deny customers based on how they act. A simple innocent GET from a user with a VPN IP should not be legally permissible reason to deny them.

  • I dont think half the government supports the over 600 mass shootings that happened in the US this year..

  • How do you defend yourself from this kind of attack?

Unfortunately, it doesn't matter. Israel has Administrative Detention laws that they use to arrest people and hold them for 6 months without charge or trial in prisons infamous for torture like Ofer, where they locked Tamini in a cage.

After 6 months you must see a judge, but the judge can just extend the detention (again, without a charge against you) for another 6 months. How many people are locked up and tortured like this in Israeli prisons?

Fortunately Ahed advocates for nonviolence, but how many people would turn to violence after being locked up and toetueed for years without even a charge against them? Israel is doing a good job at creating terrorists.

  • Is there any way to tap on a word after typing a message (while proofreading before sending) and get alternate suggestions?

The absence of this is why I left FlorisBoard.

  • Some Israeli general is smoking a blunt, rapidly pressing a red button, and shouting "420 blaze those babies!"

  • Are you sure it didn't have computer vision? This would be a valid statement if it was looking for boxes of vegetables and it confused a human for them

  • I don't think anyone thinks that e2ee bans prevent people from using e2ee. What it does is force companies in their jurisdiction to install a backdoor

It is entirely plausible and it will make many people (who dont migrate to secure service providers) loose security and privacy.

  • Sorry, this content is not available in your region.

  • Article says she "attacked a soldier". She fucking slapped him after he killed her brother. That disresits this whole website as trash afaic

  • They're lucky they didn't get executed. Israel has killed, what, 25 journalists so far in the past month?
