Actually no. The family steps up. Nana kicks ass. It's refreshing that the main cast aren't just fodder for the plot.

We don't have time to do it right the first time, but we will make just enough time to redo it wrong a few more times before the customer complains loudly enough that the boss pulls someone from another job which will now not be done right because we don't have time.

Shame about all those scientists who are about to jump out of Windows.

Why does the responsibility fall on news organizations? The government pages are not banned on Facebook. Use those to disseminate important information. If Facebook is really the best way reach your citizens then pay them a fee to pin a post at the top of everybody's feed. Or mandate that they do it as part of the emergency services act.

The cbc might be government funded, but the rest of the news media are not. Their job is to hold politicians accountable, not organize evacuation efforts.

Mortgages needing to be renewed every 5 years so that banks can jack the the interest rate. Cap residential mortgages at 25 years max and 2% interest for the duration.

I have an idea for a series I'd like to write that fits this somewhat. In the Kelvin timeline before Romulus is destroyed but after Voyager, the Romulans decide to stripmine their doomed solar system, build a fleet, and go on a conquest to subdue Federation territory starting with Earth. The war would be an over-arching theme but the episodes would still be mostly self contined challenge of the week type stories based one ship & crew but with glimpes of what other crews are going through, but also flashbacks to how the invasion got started showing how we got to "now" without dragging it out.

Crotch Capers 3 was way better.

I just came from seeing it. It's better than Black Adam. A bit predictable; borrowed a lot from Iron Man 2. Some of the editing made it feel kinda rushed and ruined the timing of the humor.

It was nice that most of the cast actually had a roll to play, and weren't just fodder for the plot. George Lopez wasn’t just comic relief. Raoul Trujillo felt like a conflicted character. Adriana Barraza as Nana kicked ass!

Shame about all the long term care patients who got left at the airport by themselves. Hope someone got them all out.

TBF, the soup kitchen i volunteered at back in the early 90s had really good food.
