It was actually the same thing with the original luddites. They didn’t oppose the new tool but the way it was used.

In this case, unregulated capitalism and the basic human greed are responsible for this situation. Everybody wants to make a quick buck, never mind the consequences
Also a full capitalist system would not have invented the internet as we know it or the World Wide Web or even the micro computing industry
