It's the opposite for me. It makes me feel like that universe was created for me.

Is there a reason why it happens? Like how for example stress and anxiety aren't intrinsically bad but rather things that helped keep us alive.

Would it still be legal for them to become a politician?

Pick the simplest things you enjoy eating and start with those. I usually just cooked the same thing over and over until I got fed up of them. This is okay as long as your diet remains diverse.

And not everything needs to be cooked. Make use of cold salads and such. I love olives. Olive oil is awesome for both salad and cooking. Salads are often seen as the main dish but I much prefer them as a side, like rice.

Follow the recipe as best as you can at first. You'll be fine, the only important thing is food safety, e.g. handling raw chicken.

Oh and btw even pros screw up their cooking here and there. Don't feel too bad if you get it wrong while millions of kids starve out there.

And probably because if they do use it and someone else does the same to their work they won't be able to harass them with a team of lawyers.

I use mainly Windows these days because of gaming but Linux is so good for learning how computers work in general.

From my perspective, Singapore is a dystopian shithole I'm glad I wasn't born to.

With that said, it's so common for immigrants to criticise the country they migrate to. And it's usually unfounded. But not always.

The only Singaporeans I knew were heavy travellers. Strong desire to study and work out of their country. Very proud of their country, however. One of them was a friendship I had to end because I couldn't handle the eccentricity and constant showing off.

It's about the same reason why Vulcans got attached to us. They're a curious species. They didn't necessarily expect gain other than to satisfy their curiosity. They'd probably have respected lab rats about as much as they respected humans.

But I generally disagree with the OP above you. As far as observations go, the universe seems like a rather lonely place. I don't think a lot of science fiction is far off. Either from a civilisation looking to make friends or slaves. Both are sensible plots. The uselessness of humanity portrayed in that post seems incorrect and highly pessimistic. Evidence of that is easy enough to find just by looking at the rest of our solar system. We may be far from perfect but for something like us and all other life on earth to be born out of such chaos seems to beat the odds and so far we have no evidence of otherwise.

With that said, I don't think humans will ever reach a state of perfection. I don't think our universe allows that. Maybe outside our universe.

Think of the tactics applied from the other side. It's seldom groundbreaking but often slow and gradual.

Rather than losing my loved ones, I think I'd be more scared of losing my love for them. Either via a cold heart or dementia.
