  • I'm guessing the admins have no interest in dealing with this blatant Russian troll?

  • This is the kind of thing I point to people who "don't do politics". Maybe that's the case, but politics does you regardless.

  • There are few things more saddening than watching a good friend burn their lives for the sake of friends and family who wouldn't do the same for them.

  • I would suggest getting to the root of the issue and disable it on your camera app.

  • Most of our weaponry.

    Communications is huge.

Depending on how far back you go, almost anything. Tech has come a long way and it still seems to have endless possibilities. We just might be in a golden era. We once deemed things impossible and brushed them aside, now we are more accepting of them only being impossible for current tech. Interstellar travel for example is tech that's still far beyond us but we know we can get there.

  • We will never get anywhere using logic. At this point it's basically a religion/ cult.

  • There are certainly some of us who don't deserve the air we breath but to say we all deserve to die includes a lot of good people.

  • Nah, it's definitely a delayed gratification in my case. I don't dislike working out per se, I just like doing other things more. Hence why I do a couple of physically demanding sports.

  • OP thinks we can afford to be buried? How nice of them.

The only way I'll be buried is if someone tosses me into one of the general waste dumps.

  • He's married to Incontinentia_Buttocks.

  • Have you met Biggus_Dickus yet?

  • Nah. I look back at Tesla. One of the greatest people to have blessed our planet. Certainly among the top if not the top inventor to have existed. But I don't envy any part of his life.

How about Turing? Another great example. The father of computer science and AI. A great person too. One of the most accomplished human beings, even back when he was alive. I don't envy any part of his life.

I sure have picked unfortunate examples. But these should highlight how success alone isn't enough. I don't think life satisfaction lies in obtaining more, but rather wanting less. If you observe well, you'll notice people living very simple lives and being very happy while at it. How about the wealthiest person, Musk. Does he look satisfied with life and happy? I don't think a happy person would behave that way.

If you have so little, then perhaps you can afford greater risks. If you can't afford greater risks, then perhaps you don't have so little.

  • Wouldn't a detection system be way better? I can see a machine learning model handling this rather well. Correlate the main accounts to their upvoters across all their posts and create a flag if it returns positive. It would be more of a mod tool, really.

I have already ran into a very obvious Russian troll factory account and it really drags down the quality of the place. Freedom of speech shouldn't extend to war criminals and I'd rather leave any clusterfuck that allows it, whether they do it through will or incompetence.

  • That's text in the sense that html is text.

  • UK law is a bit interesting in this regard so I don't fully blame them for avoiding the term. Since they could have been fucking legally and they could be joining the armed forces at 16. So by extension we are okay with children fighting our wars and fucking their grandpas, but not distributing nudes. I'd absolutely expect these to be used in their defence when they go to court. Maybe this changes something and we can finally make 18 a hard line. But I doubt it. I don't think this person will go to jail, especially since they can afford lawyers.

  • I suppose I can give it a shot using a rubber band and a paper clip.

  • Mostly for the odd Windows 11 troubleshooting because the Windows support world is the most bloated shit ever. So many solutions that solve fuck all.
