  • Wendy's is garbage in terms of health and nutrition but there are a lot of people who probably have much easier access to a Wendy's than a grocery store. That's the reality of life in America for a lot of low income people and it's fairly well divided along race lines as well. We can sit here from our white suburban couches and judge because there are 4 grocery stores within a 10 minute drive but that simply isn't how it works in some areas.

  • Not only that but Idaho has some draconian abortion positions so I'm sure that at this point a lot of medical professionals have left the state. But yeah you're right this does sort of go against the "do no harm" thingy doctors are always prattling on about.

  • I had someone open a Verizon account with my info and I only found out when it showed up on my credit report as a collections account. Every single person there tried to tell me the account didn't exist and there was nothing they could do. I even had one fuckin rep try to get me up open a new account so they could use it to look up the other account, because apparently sounded like a complete moron. I ended up reporting it to the secretary of state and wouldn't you know Verizon found the account for them on the first try.

  • Guaranteed all that data is still being sold and resold over and over again. Who even knows how many people have everyone's info at this point and they didn't even get a slap on the wrist, nor has anything been done to unlink our financial security from our SSN. It's disgusting.

  • The average woman is born with about 2 million eggs but the average American woman only has 1.66 children. The average American woman should be charged with 1,999,999,998.44 counts of murder. CMV.

Edit: I stand by the number I typed.

  • I mean, I don't want it to look different. I want a regular sedan or small vehicle like a Honda Fit (which is what I have now and it's a good size). I just want it to be an EV. So maybe there's a market for the weird looking cars and have massive SUVs but that's not what I want. I wouldn't be caught dead in a cyber truck or this 80s TV show sentient vehicle looking thing.

    That's my 2 cents but I don't think I'm the only one.

  • Is it so much to ask that I be able to get a vehicle that's just...normal but also an EV? Not a monster truck, not some space ship looking thing, just like a Honda Accord but an EV...I don't think that's asking so much but apparently automakers disagree.

  • Anecdotally speaking I had covid a few months before vaccination became available (yay) and had horrible brain fog. I forgot a lot of words and really struggled with finishing sentences, things like that. It did improve but it took about a year. At the same time one of my toes kept swelling up every time my feet got cold and that stopped around the same time my ability to think improved.

  • Holy shit I had a mild case of COVID with headaches as my only symptom. I then had long COVID and couldn't think straight, forgot words all the time, had trouble finishing sentences. It's terrifying to think this is why that was happening but it tracks because every time my feet got cold during that same time period one of my toes swelled up. Probably the same thing happening in my foot and my brain.

  • Just woke up. I thought this was a picture of valheim with a deathsquito on the background. Which is interesting because I was probably going to have to pick Valheim and Sims 4. If I can only playb2 games forever I need sometimes that doesn't necessarily have a main quest then it's done and both of those fit that.

  • I'm not going to say you're wrong about aspartame being safe because I don't know for sufe, but I question whether you're right. The fact that Donald Rumsfeld was the CEO of the company that held the patent, couldn't get it approved then magically got it approved after his buddy Ronald Reagan appointed him to a position where he could do so makes me wonder if it ever should have been approved.
