  • Another easy way is to launch kmenuedit to create the files with a GUI.

  • Based, X forever staying relevant.

  • How do you not know that Intel has they same type of open source graphics driver like AMD? Their kernel module, OpenGL and Vulkan libraries are all free software, only requiring small firmware blobs. That's why Intel 'just werks' on Linux without having to download a 500mb kernel module or have a separate .iso available to download specific to the hardware.

  • I did not like Alan Wake 1 and hated that movie. Alan Wake 2 is just a GPU benchmark to me.

  • Does that mean I can finally stream HuniePop on there now?

  • Yet it still cannot hold a candle to any of the Bungie Halo games...

  • yeah, from what i remember the kernel's oom killer isn't that fast and external ones work better

  • It puts more stress on the memory controller, DOCP might not work which is essential for Ryzen since it likes fast RAM.

  • So this is only for the background of the motherboard boot up logo like from Asus, Acer, Gigabyte ect? Not your grub or rEFInd background correct?

  • I'd still use an oom killer even on 6.1 which is the kernel Debian uses, mglru got improvements in following kernels like you said.

  • Whatever distro you install, make sure you enable zram, it makes old computers with low ram much more usable, and an out of memory killer too.
