Oh, absolutely. Understatement of the century, they are THE violent street gang. Just look up "40% of cops" or into their origins as slave catching patrols. They exist to keep the economy running by force, disperse protests, and make everyone fear homelessness. With even half of their budgets we could easily eliminate any incentive for crime in this country with better infrastructure.
All this to say it's not a violent business unless you're a idiot about it. It's not like TV. People will undercut their prices long before they'll cut throats.
I'd like to question your idea of "street gangs". A lot of times these are just cocky groups of male friends who trust each other and are trying to get by in a harsh economy.
But sure, every single one is violent and there aren't any honorable people involved, ever.
Literally the only dealer I've met that actually scared me mostly dealt meth (I was buyin' weed) and I'm pretty sure he was a cop too
I think this marks the true end of twitter. Undoubtedly, some people will literally pay to have ol' muskys thoughts shoved in their face and get their data collected, see garbage alt-right memes but if he fails, if he can't even make it a premium-feeling cult experience now... (which obviously his vision, but let's be real it's a longshot- he's only gonna be a clown) I don't see it lasting much longer.
It's a little bump of energy and a calming ritual that's all too intoxicating. Perfect for when you wanna sip a cup of coffee and/or do yoga or something to decompress but only have like 3 minutes to spare or else your boss will yell at you.
I've found cannabis to be far more effective and safer-feeling.
"strongest safety net in American history" yeah can people stop making up outright lies about Biden? He's barely doing anything, I have two cats and they both probably get less sleep
People fail to acknowledge he was Obama's VP, too. Nobody wants to admit he's at least partly the reason Trump gained enough traction to come into office at all in the first place.
He's not trump, yeah yeah. Still doesn't change the fact he has done a shit job as "janitor" and wasn't anybody's first choice except those that convienently ignore his past comments and actions as a individual (smelling little girls, defending segregation, joking about running over reporters, just vile career politician stuff all the way through)
But regardless, that shouldn't be his whole sell though, and it is. I wish I was wrong, but you really can't deny it's a super weak one.
"most leftist president in our country's history"
Previous presidents have set real low standards, my dude. I'm glad he's rescheduling pot too but he has not done enough to earn that title or people like you wasting your time on his behalf. He and the DNC ignored a HUGE progressive movement in this country to set him up to sleep through more debates next year. As long as the electoral college decides who's president I don't want to endorse either mainstream candidate more than direct action against a inhumane, unhinged, and disconnected government. Still crossing my fingers for a good green candidate, and I'll probably vote that way, but rioting, purposeful vandalism and organization in equal, abundant measure are the only things that could give me real hope at this point. Wish I could have your optimism and confidence in authority, must be nice.
That might be the case globally. Regardless, it was never addressed adequately in the US. Practically everyone I know is dealing with some consequence of long COVID and we're totally behind on vaccination because the issue was so politicized. If you look at this, what's still going on at the border (a fucking racist wall to keep a certain ethnicity out), human rights being challenged EVERYWHERE and his climate policy it's clear Biden doesn't care all that much about things a leftist president should, at the very least.
These expectations are the problem, if I agreed to sell my soul because I didn't want to read a several page agreement while installing a free program, should they get it? Fuck no. Also, as somebody who's worked all sorts of different positions: these rules are unenforceable, in a lot of cases. If a business hires you, they will try to keep that asset. A lot of times managers do not care what you wear until you're someone they don't like. Especially if you work in food service, and make a standard industry wage (that is, not shit!!) Push that envelope. Your coworkers will too, maybe.
Have you been living under a rock? Everything is bad, at least here in the US.
